The Fund was renamed the Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund under the 2002-2005 Collective Bargaining Agreement to better reflect the true nature and function of the Fund and its services.
The Fund functions as an agent of the Producers and exists as an entity formed through a Collective Bargaining Agreement, whose terms are negotiated every three years, between the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) and the American Federation of Musicians (AFM).
The sole purpose of the Fund is to serve all those who are eligible to receive residual wage payments, including musicians who are participating members of the American Federation of Musicians, through its Local Unions.
Fund services include receiving employers’ contributions remitted as required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the annual disbursement of these contributions to the participants. In addition, the Fund provides customer service for eligible participants, performs regular compliance reviews and actively pursues the collection of employer contributions for obligated films.
Oh yeah … and I’m just looking at the set list … and The Wagon kicked butt … I love that song …

Umm … I’m trying to think what else happened …
Some guy ran up to J between the stage and the front barrier and said something to J … I think J have him a pick before security dragged him away …
Other than that … I was looking out for Bobby G, Mani, Kevin Shields etc who we’ve spotted at Dinosaur shows in the past … There were no Primals (that we saw), but Luisa was there … on stage, smoking roll-ups
and Kevin Shields was there with some friends as well …Anyhow … If last night is anywhere near as good as tonight, you guys are in for a really good time …
I would be there, but my husband + I already have tix to see DKT/MC5 @ the Underworld in Camden … awesome …
** the only disppointment of the night was the J, Lou, Murph t-shirt I bought for my husband … When we got it home I noticed it had a hole in it … :-

Bummer! And I’m not sure of any easy was to get a new one/exchange it b/c I don’t have tix for tonight … any ideas anyone?
Yeah, and to add to that Lou came on at 8.15

And the doors opened at 7 …
Last night’s show was a real treat … I don’t know why, but I wasn’t very excited before I got there … which is kind of weird for me, but I’ve had so much other stuff going on over the past few months I haven’t had a chance to think about it beforehand other than show up on the night!

But it was really awesome … I know most people around here say that for every show, but it really was …
It started out pretty good, but about a third of the way thru they really kicked into a higher gear and I was just so psyched to hear a mix of old and new … and a mix of with/without Lou era … That was an awesome surpsrise … Does that mean that they checked out the results of our recent poll?

Our view was awesome – upstairs at the back … and I guess my only (half) regret is that we didn’t bring our camera … my husband took some footage on his phone, but the quality isn’t very good … it’s just a cool momento of the night – knd of like a moving impressionist painting or something …
And Lou opening up was cool … He seemed very nervous and he kept saying things like ‘This is just about as difficult as I had imagined it to be!’
But he did a really good job… it’s just that loads of people were chatting away during his set, which must be distracting and a little bit disappointing for him … But he did go on to say he couldn’t wait to drown out our voices during Dinosaur’s set
… And he also said it was the first time he had ever opened for Dinosaur as well!
beautiful!

the last time i was there, the upstairs at the back was covered by plexiglass, but the sides weren’t …
wow … that awesome … thanks for posting that … and thanks for educating me …
SG i wish you lived closer, because i’d love to delve into your record collection

wow … if everyone from norway did look like that it would be a very interesting place to visit — or not!!
ha … so robert … how close is immortal’s look to yours ….
sounds awesome …
I think they should play whatever they want and I’m sure they’ll put on an awesome show regardless, but I can only imagine that even they must feel it’s time to branch out from the 1st three albums …

i can’t wait until they’re on this side of the pond

awesome … this is a great idea … thanks for the opportunity …

in true libran style
i’d like to hear a mix of old and new …
