well, i wasn’t there that night (i went to see them the next night when they headlined), but i recall reading somewhere that lou barlow did help them out w/one song on the p.scream night as well … so i guess it could be him

i bet the panel had a difficult time limiting themselves to just 100 albums …
as for the difference in lists … it looks like the guitarist list was compiled 7 years ago, so maybe they have different writers/editors w/different tastes now ?
it most definitely would ! … however from a v.selfish point of view i’m rooting for the european dates

after making those comments on xfm frank black then issued another statement saying that he had been sarcastic in that interview and that he thought that a nation like the UK which is renowned for its sarcastic humour would have caught on to the sarcasm !!
… so i guess i’m a bit sceptical about this … then again maybe he saw the paycheck and changed his mind ??
:aliensmile:don’t know if he likes them, but they both played at the 2002 all tomorrow’s parties festival in LA … and there’s some pix taken by OSX of j and at least one of the mogwai guys hanging out backstage … (sorry, but i don’t have the link to those, but i’m sure someone else around here could find that for you)

it’s a bummer that j also missed out being listed in mojo’s 100 greatest guitar albums
… but at least i agreed w/most of the albums they did include (sonic youth-evol … pixies-surfer rosa … my bloody valentine-loveless … radiohead-the bends … etc) wow ! those are both beautiful tour posters … thanks for posting them …i prefer the red one … would look great on my wall
