Mine came today too. DId anyone notice that the beginning of Creepies on the bonus disc is the same as the beginning of A Little Ethnic Song off teh Guitarrorists cd?

Nevermind. Jeremiah beat me to it.

        sewerofmars,

I’ve heard really good things about the Black Keys live show. I would probably go see the Black Keys out of curiousity if I lived really close to where they are playing. But I don’t think I could stomach having to watch Dino as an opener especially after I’ve seen them/J headline 6 times. I live 5 1/2 to 6 hours away from the closest show and I had planned on taking some time off work and catching several show but I’m not going to do that now.

I’ve check the Warehouse Live website for the Houston show and the Ridglea Theater website for the Fort Worth show and both make it look like DinoJr is the opening band. The Black Keys website also has them as opening. What the crap is that? I don’t want to drive roughly 6 hours to each show to see them open up. This is so disappointing.

The best way I can describe a Dinosaur Jr show without earplugs is like having nails hammered into your ears. I saw them last Saturday and after about 1/2 of the first song I put earplugs in. I highly recommend earplugs. I’ve seen J & the Fog 4 times. The one time I did not wear earplugs my ears rang for days.

Check out this thread about J and earplugs.

If I remember correctly, J didn’t change his name from Joseph to J. I think J’s dad’s name was Joseph too and J was called J so as not to be confused with his father. I think this is correct. Is their anyone who can confirm this?

As for Murphs birthday, sorry I can’t help you there.

So what does everyone think the new Dinosaur Jr album will sound like? Will it be a return to the early Dinosaur Jr sound of the first three albums or will it sound more like everything from Green Mind forward, including the two Fog releases. I hope it sounds more like J’s recent stuff just because that is what I am a bigger fan of.
