I’m not ‘straight edge’ or ’emo’, but I definitely hate babysitting drunk people. It’s hard, and sad. Here’s to hoping your friends shape up. Or that you find friends that are more fun

Ooo! Iron Butterfly!

Also, I didn’t time these, but I’m pretty sure they make the cut:

Guns n’ Roses- ‘November Rain’
Doors- ‘When The Music’s Over’
Pearl Jam- ‘WMA’
Smoke City- ‘Underwater Love’
Led Zeppelin- ‘Moby Dick’. Let’s hear it for 5-minute drum solos. Or not.

And you now live in Burlington. Where I attended three hellish semesters of college.

Too bizarre! Keep in touch! Maybe we know some of the same people, or at least venues/commercials/newscasters.

Unfortunately, though I would love to come home this summer, I had to opt for dental work instead But my little sis may go. She says that J reminds her of me, and she wants to represent.

Have a great time. The show is at Northern Lights, right? When we were little my mom tried to take us there to see Jerry Lee Lewis, but he canceled at the last minute. We were in the parking lot and everything. No point, really. Just bonding from cross-country

Take care, all, & keep me close in spirit!

Salami, I didn’t know there was a song called Erica Kane; too cool! Although L’il Kim once referred to herself as ‘the black Erica Kane’, which I thought was pretty funny.

BR, wasn’t Seymour Stein the founder of Sire Records, or something?

Hey squeapler,

Thanks so much for that link. It’s fascinating. Also, it’s funny that it started out by mentioning Marilyn Vos Savant; I hate ‘Ask Marilyn’ and she recently pissed me off enough to write a rant on my web page. I occasionally wonder whether ‘Vos Savant’ is actually her real last name, or if she’s just trying to be clever.

But about the nuclear waste. There is that old law of physics that says matter doesn’t disappear, it just changes shape. If there were a safe way to manipulate nuclear by-products for positive enterprises, I would support it. It’s just energy; there must be a way to water it down from bomb-strength to, say, ship-strength or car-strength.

Will start by re-reading the link you sent, and trying the search you suggested. I’m’a learn me some nuclear physics

thanks again,
Rosa

I don’t understand why nuclear waste can’t be broken down into something else. Or combined into something else, I guess. If there are any chemistry majors in the house, please explain for me.

It just seems like it would make more sense to either neutralize it or use it for something different. Can they do that??

Haha. As long as we don’t start quoting John Donne and talking about "vampyres", I think it’s a-ok if you dress in all black and I listen to Manson.

I wanted to reference something clever to tie this post in to the 7-11 theme, but all I can think of is the lyric from that Salt n Pepa song:

‘he’s got me open like 7-11’
