Rocketmaster, that is one sad story. It would almost be acceptable if you knew the cd’s were going to a good home, but I highly doubt a petty thief could appreciate J. As for the strat, do you know the serial number? Well I’m sure you’ve thought of that. I hope you find the goods ’cause J makes the world go round.
I’ve got three shirts: Navy Feel the Pain w/ the guy being choked, Purple Cow/Gorrilla, and Black Dog from Whatevers Cool w/ Me single. My favorite has to be the Feel the Pain shirt ’cause I’ve had it for like 8 years and it’s damn comfortable. I am in the middle of trying to buy the Dog peeing on the hydrant shirt from e-bay but I can’t remember my registration info.
Anyone who questions the female ability to play guitar should check out Drain STH, Kittie, Liona Boyd and the other women mentioned in this topic. As for guitar magazine lists they are completely unreliable. I read an article on the 100 greatest solos that rated Kurts Smells Like Teen Spirit solo higher than lots of great solos such as Brad Nowells Santeria solo. Now I’m not putting Kurt down, but anyone who listened to Nirvana while learning to play guitar (as I did) knows that there is very little technical proficiency required to play the Teen Spirit solo. Anyway, I think women musicians kick ass and I’m glad to see many of them here defending their art.
Hi everyone, I recently joined freakscene and wanted to say hi. I am 22 (23 in May) and have been listening to Dinosaur Jr. since I was like 15 or 16. I don’t even remember how I got into them since I live in a small town in British Columbia, Canada that can’t be properly explained without foul language, but anyway… I have only recently taken an interest in computers so that is why I have only recently joined this community. I was checkin out the pics here and saw a guy with J. Wow. I can’t even get close enough to a concert let alone actually get my picture with him. Well, I think I’ve said enough, I will end by saying that J kicks ass and I am glad to have found a place where others a) have heard of him and b) appreciate him as much as I do.
