randyman: the jagmaster has different pickups than jazzmaster I think?
I would like to try a new us jazzmaster. I have a 63′ and I like it alot. the rosewood fingerboard and the thick neck shape are great. I have a 66 jazzmaster with white bindings on the neck. I think maybe the neck is a little thinner, but not sure as I don’t have the guitar in front of me.wonder if the seller (the ebayers cousin) is an old man who likes sparkle colours. Or if he is a young guitarist who suddenly felt like repainting an old guitar.
the gold pickguard got me thinking of Js guitars. I started thinking that the paintjob was new, and maybe it is not sunburst colour under. when repainting they have to strip down the original paint, so it’s not necceserly possible to see the original paint anywhere.
I have a critic eye on the jazzmasters on ebay now, but it probably won’t be very easy to find out if there have been a lot of modifications. and what freakscene detective is gonna tear the guitars appart and check for traces? I can’t afford that guitar.
I wonder how J mascis found his sound in such an early age. stooges didn’t use big muff, did they? where did he get the idea of using big muff?
Rageman: could be just water retention. doesn’t have to be beer. he is probably just as active as the other band members.

well… I think Paul is a great husband, he doesn’t have the same philosophy as Gene. So he’s probably a mono player. With all his money on tops of the cake, he is every womans dream.
kevin shields – musical director.. what is that role in practise?
to me the word musical director means someone who approaches music the theoretical way.
listening to kevin shields music; I find it hard to believe he knows how to conduct a symphony. I suppose musical director has nothing to do with theory. just me mixing up terms.yes, here we go. I feel worthless when watching petrucci. there are some tutorial videos on you tube. he has the theory skills too.
the albumscovers have some secrets in them too. I have seen faces or was it a little man on the Dinosaur – dinosaur album cover.

let’s say the guitar is in tune, and stays in tune.
I have a marshall valvestate. If I remember right I have bass at 11 o clock, mid at 13- 13,5 o clock, and treble at 11,5 o clock when I use a fender jazzmaster.
have tried the old big muff with mixed results. So can’t give you the final advice there.can’t wait to see what the secret message is on the new dino vinyl.
I have a theory that the new album will be followed by a dvd release.
wonder if they plan more touring to support the album, seems like they have toured non stop for so long. So they probably will wait a few months into year 07 to rest before again tour for a long time. I feel sorry for them
, if J wants to wait a half year before touring again, I’m sure people understand that, and will gladly wait another half hear or more for album and dvd.I think what is holding the album back though , is fighting about what the secret vinyl message will be.
