J mascis uses 0.10, it says in guitarmagazines. It is recomended to use 0.11 or higher, because the orginal brigde is a little "slippery". Looks like j mascis has put on tuneomatic brigdes on his jazzmasters.

BetteDavisLies: I’ve seen dinosaur one time, as a reunion band on a festival. I’ve seen one J and the fog show, plus a J Mascis solo show. all in my home country.
Hope they will play big festival stages again this summer. It was so cool to see dinosaur t shirts at sale again at festivals and lots of people wearing them. I hope they keep dinosaur in business.

BetteDavisLies: I live in Scandinavia. they were here in August on some festivals. It’s not very likely I will fly to England or Spain or the other countries they play in June.
There are many european festivals in August: reading/leeds, oya (norway) etc. Murph said in an interview they will use July for working on the new cd. Maybe they come to Europe once again in August? But I won’t blame them if they take a pause. They have toured for a long time.

I wonder when the new album comes. And I hope for an european tour to support the album. But I still cross my fingers they will make it to Scandinavia for festivals in August already. If not they will probably wait until the album comes and that could be next year for all I guess. or late this year.
              We’ll wait and see.

In an interview, which I can’t find right now, J says he suppose they could play other songs than just from the three first albums, but he didn’t see any reason why.
But that was in june or july 05.

these reunion songs are the songs most of us have longed for and almost begged for, before the reunion happened. but now we miss the newer tunes. :D

Personally I loved the setlist from the show I saw last summer in Europe. But if the band come back to europe this summer to do festivals (which I hope they do), I feel it would be cool to add some other songs to the repetoire. there are still songs to pick, especially from Bug. And if the band members feel ok about picking post 89 dino tunes, that would make the setlists even more exciting.

                And there’s a new album going on … ;D

most of that is already on freesofree.net , why not put the rest up there if you’re able to do that?
I recently had someone transfer my dinosaur videoes to dvds.
I will gladly share videoes. I don’t see any reason to keep those videos for myself. And if we start sharing the videos we don’t have to buy them on ebay anymore. I I’m interested in dino stuff from the nineties. there must be some acoustic shows somewhere or some dino concert footage from the WAS tour 94-95?

I also have that english interview. :) kinda funny to see the expressions on lou and murphs face when the interviewer is joking with them. :)

I have the black cow-shirt, bought in England 6-7 years ago, huge holes in it now. (By the way, same happened to the Without a sound t shirt with the WAS "rabbitman" and green Dinosaur jr logo on the back.) I’ve always wondered about the way the cows’ color is oposite from the cow we know from Green Mind (covering the face of the Ace Frehley puppet) and Whatever’s cool with me-booklet. Is it a "unofficial" shirt?

i still think they should play feel the pain … and I think Lou should have seen his right to eventually play some of his own stuff while J was out suffering.. I think J probably was afraid of tooth injury, or else he would have kept on playing no mather what. it doesn’t matter if the mic is in his stomach or what… he still should have kept the guitar playing going.. that’s what he’s paid for… :D

when J left stage, Lou could have done a sebadoh song … after that they could have played feel the pain.

just found something in a norwegian newspaper that might fit in the left right discussion ::)

In old Greece, tastless bread was eaten with left hand while the tasteful, good food was eaten by the right hand. Through history mankind have thought of right hand side as good,- and left hand side less worthy. Women had to sit left in church. In latin left = sinister.

                          Matt 25:31-46
‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. Then the king will say to those at his right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world (…)
he will say to those at his left hand, “You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels (…)

                          ;)

the video I saw had much better quality and had multiple camera angles. from stage etc …

I ‘ve been trying to find another site, which had some reunion live videos. It featured Quest and Raisins I think. Could be more. They played outdoor and I remember seeing the video early last summer, so must have been from an US festival. any clues?

The "Beach boys" choiring makes this song special. It might be difficult to do that part live, but I think if J learns to breath more with his stomach when he sings, he might pull it of more easily. Or maybe it’s Lous’ part to sing …?

A band handing out earplugs from stage is quite a friendly gesture. :) Besides not all venues sell or hand out earplugs in the bar, at least not in Norway where I live. I hope he remembers to bring his earplug bag when they tour Europe. hah hah 8) :P
