thanks for the pictures. they’re great. Seems to be a NEW jazzmaster among J’s guitars. A gold pickguard just like that on the dark blue Jazzmaster.

As with most other clubs you might arrange a deal with the club about let an 18+ person be your "guardian" and then leave right after the concert. It might work or it might not. Good luck.
really looking forward to that. I’m just waiting for the day I see Norway on the tourlist again. I got a huge adrenalin kick last time Norway popped up in the tourdates. I’m very excited about how the tourlist for the summer might look like. this is just like waiting on a baby, probably ..

It’s just a two hour flight from England to Norway.I’m sure more gigs are gonna pop up.
dino might head home for a while and then return in July for a bunch of european festivals. dinosaur will be among the headliners at european festivals, so I think it will suit them better to tour scandinavia when the festivals are on, instead of playing small clubs.http://www.freakscene.net/forums/discussion/7680.0
They play in Spain at the beginning of June 2006.
Seems strange if they only play in one european country when they first are on the road. Why would they only play in Spain? I know they’ve sometimes done a gig in UK and then travel back to US. But Spain in June is close to other festivals. I’m pretty positive there will be european festival dates this summer.

Maybe that is a sign of a possible european summer tour…time runs fast. soon it will be summer and festivals again and maybe dinosaur will come to europe this summer too… We’ll wait and see. If they do, they sure have toured alot since the reunion

the summer festivals have started booking bands quite a while ago. the biggest (laughable) news is that Guns n Roses are coming to Roskilde festival in Denmark. They cancelled in 2001.Quote:SG wrote:

As far as I remember, not having Bowies’ tune available for listening right now, I’m pretty sure that Bowie sings "Churchills’ lies". Or some other historic politician… J has changed some of the lyrics.
J is a good rock and country player. He’s not a jazzmusician,though I’d love to hear J play bossa nova.
when it comes to drums, I don’t have any clue. He sounds good.I don’t have the drummingknowlegde to compare him with other famous drummers. But I can hear a lot of rythm hooks and tricks when he plays guitar. There’s a lot of elaborated songconstructions, so I he must have a pretty good idea of rythms.
some people just don’t understand dinosaur. they are still not ready for them, even it’s nearly twenty years since they first began their live shows.. If you know the songs, it’s no problem hearing the songs’ structure even if it’s loud. too bad for those people.
i gotta get tickets to leeds/reading festival. no doubt. friends of mine are going, but I decided not go because dinosaur were not playing there…
now I will seriously try to get there.yeah. the reviewer does not wear same glasses as me. J is cool, and his persona is so great that there is no need for any other visual effects than him sitting there doing what he does.
