really stupid joke i guess.. or maybe he just never got back on the internet.. who knows.. maybe something happened to him.. hope not..

hi. i hope the concert is/was cool. I was shameless and took pictures right in front of J in oslo in 2001.maybe I’ll post the rest of the pictures if I manage to get them scanned some day.they were taken by camera which only can be used once.. but they turned out good.. one of the best days of my life , actually. i love the memory of the concert, the exitement .. it was an electric feeling before,during and after the concert.
i know J has a distinct sound. my favourite recording where the guitar is absolutely perfect mixed together with drums and bass, is a show Fog show from 2001 oslo. On some other shows, reverb tv show for instance and and bizzarre 97, the jazzmaster does not sound that good in my opinion. it drowns, when it really should be the most distinct thing in the soundscape. maybe just bad recordings.. but I think there are several shows where the guitar not quite makes it through in the soundscape.
I just thought abstract about how different guitar mics would sound on some of J’s tunes. And I found that a singel coin strat with marshall distortion would be cool on sludgefeast for instance.

I would be thrilled if J played acoustic in Norway again, but when it comes to audio recordings of acoustic shows, I like the older shows better, because they sound more "into the moment". the new ones sound more "routine". quite natural after years of practising and gigs.
btw, I would love to see some acoustic videos from the era 94-99.
i agree with robert. It’s more exciting to hear the old shows. maybe it’s because he was more fresh back then.
He’s a better guitarist now, but it doesn’t matter. It’s like he’s playing the songs with more distance now. back then, it seems like he was more in a floating process. I could not know his next step,the future of his music was more open. I feel J’s future in music is more predictable now. But, hey, maybe I will be surprised by the next record.J’s voice sounds not so different from interviews from 91, but he sounds a bit like Ace Frehley at times.
I’d like to have someone measure the DB level on J and the fog shows, cause it might just be a myth that J still is relatively loud compared to other bands. He might have been very loud in his dinosaur days,but is he still much louder than everyone else?
what are you opinions on that?
judging from concerts I’ve attended there have been many shows louder than J.it’d be cool to have an scientific answer on that.
