January 7, 2003 at 4:51 am in reply to: Which acoustic guitar has J played on this last tour? #84974I will try to find out later. I have a guitar magazine from 94 where J is featured. I´ll check there. Not sure though about what acoustic guitar they talk about there. The interview is from london where he is shopping records, Deep Purple and Cinderella, and playing an acoustic gig. Hmm….Now I suddenly remember what guitar they talked about. It was a Martin NewYorker. Not sure if he even had the Gibson acoustic guitar at that time…

It´s a Gibson, that´s for sure. I saw a guitar very similar on Ebay the other day. Unfortunately, all I can remember is that it was a gibson xx100 .It was from the sixties and had no mic.If I only could remember the letters in front of 100.congratulation with your new instrument. I´ll let you know if I buy one myself.

don´t seem like there are many banjoplayers around this board. But I am considering buying a cheap one on ebay. I won´t invest much money on a thing I ´ve never tried playing. I am sure it will be a fun thing to learn. I recently bought a lapsteel guitar
on ebay. haven´t got it yet, but I am looking forward to that…Well I was probably wrong about Grandaddy. A tremolo pedal is more likely to be the sound I refered to…

Thanks.
Welcome to the board , Viaorbi!

After the Oslo gig , the door backstage was open and J sat there in a couch. Some girls went in there and closed the door in front of everyone else. I am not sure if they ever left the room…
If I really had made an effort I could probably have hidden my camera and found a place to stand where the SoWhat-crew didn´t see me.
but to me that was never an option. It just wouldn´t be the right thing to do.I noticed those big zeppelin-mics, so it came like a very unpleasant surprise when I was told to put my camera away.
But glad you enjoyed the show anyhow. did he play any riffs from the first album , besides from `Repulsion´?
he surprised me with `mountain man ´when he played in oslo friday the 13th of Dec.
well enjoy your guitar when you have bought it…
the guitar thing is almost like learning computer. I just recently bought a pc. I´ve never had one before, I have only had a Commodore Amiga 600 which had some very cool games.
But I am starting to learn.I have even bought a Html learning-book.
