I am sure it helps if you talk to the clubs owner at a early stage.
I remember that a guy delivered a demo to J when he played in Norway last summer. A norwegian band is opening for J in december, could it be……?thanks for reminding us

`even you might´ might have been mistaken for `blowin it´. `grab it´ is often mistaken for `little fury things´… – just look at the back cover of Monsters eat Orpheum.
nowadays, J is playing an acoustic freakscene and just like heaven so correct me if I´m wrong…

cute picture with you, J and the cow. I am sure he likes the cow.
thanks for the link, bside!
always nice to see new pictures.I am reading Death is a lonely business. by Ray Bradbury. Any opinions on that novel from those who have read it?
A guitar stand is nice. A hanger, that allows you to hang the guitar by its´neck, is nice if you want to decorate your wall with guitars. If you really love your guitar and feel obliged to threat it like a baby, a velvet case, is recomended.
a half year ago, I bought Jazzmaster 63´for a handfull of dollars. Before that I had guitars of no economic value laying around in my room. They often took a blow to their head when I used them.
With the fender it´s all different. The first week I was so humble I barely dared using it. After a couple of minutes under my arms I carefully put it back to its´bed, the velvet case. Weeks went by… everyday I repeated this ritual until I finally got the courage to bring it along to practice with my band.
now I´ve lived a half year with this guitar and still I threat her with the respect she deserves. I put her to bed early so she can her beauty sleep.
I like the sound mix on the album. the drums sound very good. The distorted riffin´in the opening track, Freedom, is breathtaking. The fat bass-sound on Tell the Truth… Its´ punishing tone make me believe that Gene Simmons has visited J´s studio to lay down the bass-track.
Mascis voice is nice to hear in front of the picture.
the whole production seems to be more wide and open than More Light. good production opens the door for new listeners.Have you heard the bassline on No Way ?
It´s neat!Jumpersknee – Lake
great norwegian band. I sing and play guitar in that band.
how nice.
I am always happy to hear people wanting to play the guitar. I´s never too late to learn a few chords.
be patient cause it will take a long time to before you can handle iron maiden tunes with precise rhythm.good luck and feel free to give an update when you´ve had your lesson…
it´s obvious that dinosaur jr sounded different after bug. Would they be satisfied if dinosaur jr changed name to j mascis and the fog already back then?
thanks for the link, treblekicker.
I´ve found what I was looking for.hi.
Has MJ performed in europe before with his solo material?
It´d be nice to have him playing in europe. Thanks for the info. too bad it was not hte whole tune.
Well I just bought my first Mike Johnson album a week ago when I was supposed to see J Mascis play in Oslo.As we all know the show was cancelled. So instead of using my money on too much beer I used some cash buying cds. I don´t do that very often nowadays so I got excausted when I saw all the cd´s I have missed buying.
Anyway, I ended up with half a dozen cd´s. One of them, was Mike Johnson´s `where am I ?´. I have never heard him before except for the low keyed backup vocals for J mascis when he played in Dinosaur.
What surprised was Mike´s incredible low dark voice. Kinda cool, I think. But the songs are´nt that appealing to me. I´ve listened to it several times and have found out that the album is not something I will listen to everyday. I like the first song, though. This week I heard a scandinavian band called The Sound-
A female singer with an attitude made me like the band. it´s very simple, raw music. Listen to their hit: `hit me hard´. I think it´s cool. -
