i like Nothing much to say a lot. don’t know if it’s up on freesofree. it’s from 93
oh, another list.. can I write a new song everyday?
dinosaur: forget the swan
you’re living all over me: raisans
bug: pond song
green mind: puke and cry
where you been: out there
Without a sound: outta hand
hand it over: nothin’s going on
beyond: pick me upmore light: same day
free so free: none at the momentyeah, i noticed some trouble with song selection. I was supposed to hear This is all I came to do, and heard some mubling from J saying "ok" and thought this was the actual album version of the song. Soon discovered this was Chunks.
there’s a competition on cdon.no and platekompaniet.no for winning a dino board.
this goes for norwegian inhabitants.don’t tell anyone, I want the board.
there was plenty of wah wah on the Free so Free album. more than ever. no problem skipping the wah for a while. there are some cool guitar sounds on beyond, no need for wah all the time.
wow wow. .that’s so cool!
I’m so excited about all the dino stuff going on right now!
new album, album reviews in the papers and next two weeks the national papers will all give their opinions, promo video, world tour, skateboards, shoes.
the new promo pics are cool.
the bear will probably stay in the same place for the rest of its life, so no problem finding it in time.there are so many factors deciding what the "best" guitarist is.
deciding who is best often comes down to personal taste.
one could of course test technical level, chord knowlegde/usage, speed etc. but that wouldn’t be very exciting.J has inspired a lot of bands, so he is definetly an important one.
Hendrix was important as we all know. I can’t understand how anyone can manage to write Little wing. there are so much stuff going on in his playing.by the way, this topic should be moved to the Guitar thread.
i will visit the bear next time I’m in Oslo.
Quote:His Jazzmasters are all from the 60’s, He has a ’62 blue/tortoise pickguard, ’65 Lake Placid Blue/white pickguard and ’59 blue/gold-anodized pickguard. The ’62 blue/turtoise pickguard was used in the late 90’s-2000’s the Redding Festival ’07 and it’s on the cover of the J Mascis BBC sessions, also its in the Green Mind cd book thing. I’ve seen this also around his tours with the Fog and other. The pickup covers look really weird, they appear black, but they are white on the sides. Black Marker maybe? Also, it has witch hat knobs and a TOM (all of his guitars have them). It was repaired in around 2005 and stolen in ’06.
I cant find any close up pictures of this, you can see it on the Digging Up Bones interview in theif you watch the umass amherst video from 93, you see the jazzmaster he uses is natural finish, and the pick up covers look like the ones on the 62′ blue/tortoise pickguard. So I was thinking that one might have been refinished to blue.

By the way, a web page had the Dinosaur lollapalooza 05′ show (the one in the picture) available for a short time on video. I remember seing 2-3 songs on some web page. Never found it again
anyone else saw this?all dinosaur videos are funny in one way or another. Except Little Fury Things, I’m Insane (scary) and Where’d you go.
chuck berry lay the groundstone for the rolling stones, so that’s cool.

I’m a fan.

it must be said i’m listening through a KOSS headset. The loud bass amplitude makes all sound better. but I think I can go good for this music.
Never really was very cool. the chorus comes as a surprise. And the instruments sound good too.
