Suuuuch a good show. Didn’t know that the stage diver was the guy from Gobblehoof. And I don’t care what Gaffney says, Kurt was definitely on something. I could see it in his eyes. He had acid-eyes. He was stumbling around the crowd, bumping into me a few times, not able to keep balance and was staring at his hands very intently with his eyes very wide open. If he wasn’t on anything he took that night, then he was definitely having an organic mind-trip. But I think it was drugs.
…and I was there, man. I want to hear the band’s thoughts about this show. I thought it was amazing.
the lyric goes as follows:
"Gotta connect with you girl, but I forget how"
I don’t see the connection. Except maybe the baldness. But other than that, nuthin’.
Well, Amma has received some severe criticism from people in India claiming that her inner circle has been offing people who may "know too much". And some of the deaths have been actual family members of Amma herself. I don’t think Amma herself is responsible for any misdeeds, but you know how strongly-religiously devoted people can be. It’s probably just weird coincidence. I really hope so anyway. To think that a person who gives millions of hugs to everybody she encounters and promotes peace and love like Ghandi, Dr. King and the Dalai Lama, could possibly be linked to murder or grave misconduct makes me lose faith in humanity.
Nah, but seriously, it’s cool. You just don’t see it very often. I actually think it’s rather endearing. J is able to hold onto something that makes him young at heart, he can keep something from childhood to keep him grounded. I wish I had kept some of my stuffed animals, especially my favorite stuffed Bunny which I just could not go to sleep without. I wonder if I still have it……..
I say we call ourselves "Freak Scenesters", In honor of J’s greatest song: The Lung.
Weezer = a third-rate Cheap Trick.
Not that I dislike either bands (Weezer really sucks nowadays though, they used to be good ten years ago, and "Hash Pipe" was their only good song as of late, and that was a few years ago).

Damn, that’s pretty sweet. Wish I could draw like that.

I used to have very similar shirts to J’s when I was young and in grade school. a couple of times a year, this book/t-shirt expo came to all the public schools and we could go down to the main hallway and they would have this large pagoda set up and we would buy t-shirts with wolves and whales and such, earth t-shirts, kid books (Garfield comics, R.L. Stein, etc.) and bookmarks with our school name on it, and other utensils, and seeing J wear these shirts brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. Fuckin’ awesome!!
What kind of earplugs would you suggest I get? I need something reasonably priced seeing as how I work a crappy part time job and get paid ever so slightly higher than minimum wage. I want something in the $10-20 range. Any suggestions?
I’d like to hear Dinosaur Jr cover Vamos. I love the crazy delay pedal solo that Joey does in it and I bet J could rock that shit even harder.
