no i’m not sweatin-i jus had to say somethin…
my god-i’ve seen it all now-raggin on MikeFreakin Watt on his BASS PLAYIN? one of the finest bass players in rock&roll! know anything about punkrock and the history of The Minutemen?
sacrilege!!
please check his ‘hootpage’ on the web on all his feelings on playin w/ J-
he acknowleged that he played some weird stuff once in a while and fell out of tempo or forgot a riff…he’d look over at J and see him smile.
hey it goes w/ the game-J wanted Watt w/ all that means and until i hear an ill word about J’s feelings toward Watt you guys are blowin smoke.
i think they have both said they look forward to when they can do something again.
sounds positive to me…

typical band mis directed energy…
i see it all the time…
band re groups-gets on TWO great tours-re releases early albums to critical aclaim-media attention from a lot of the folks that dont even pay attention to bands-fan love-web love-"we are releasing a dvd in the early part of 06"-disapointment-outrage-dismissal…
dvd finally comes out long after even casual fans of the band are/were interested…
disapointing sales
aspersions are cast
and down that road we go…
as peter green said "oh well"

and thanx so much Sweeney fer that info…
been wonderin for a long while…
my main question used to be ‘how did J get line level rack efx into the front of his amps(no efx loops)?’
not sure if i know the answer still.
staninsanfranthere is a great article on the present day BlueCheer in the July GP.

some people come to this site for info about dinosaur jr and exchange ideas…
then there are folks who think this place is their very own playpeni gotta say after watching that vid-Love J Guitar-cant figure out about this band…
those rehashed ‘heavy’ riffs and muddy sound has been done inside and out since the 60s ‘BLUE CHEER’ for you oldsters and by DeadMeadow in more modern times and i just dont see the affection J has for it and lending his high level presence to this-i guess these guys are friends of his and i just wonder when push comes to shove and J has a gig will this band shrivel up or get another drummer and carry on in this over done genre…
i have the record and play it once in a while but i cant get over the genericness.
love heavyness and DINOSAUR rocks me-but Witch misses me.

because no one has-‘cept the band-which is as it should be.
knowing a little about the iffyness of the rock world and all its ups&downs it will be a nice surprise when/if it gets released
