i say if ya wanna know about a band-check it out and dont rely on hearsay or posts w/ nothing informative in them
i saw them on SNL and thought they had a good sound and the guitarist actually was playing inovative stuff. they rocked ina sorta glam/70s style.
not for me, but a decent band.

i bought one o’ doz offa ebay-its clipped on my guitar strap now.
dont know if its Dinosaur Jr thangg or not-but its cool.

i’m afraid everyone has their take on what these releases should be…
but i think J (tho’ i really dont know) is just trying to fill a void for the stuff thats no longer on the market.
i think the great dvd of dinosaur jr-w/ videos and live shows and tidbits of historical importance are for the not near future or never
just my take

what is this he "should" or "can" this or that…
J has one of the most personal, distinctive guitar sounds in R&R.
why would you wanna change that?
he also sounded pretty great using the Strat w/ CV.
it just wasnt that classic DINOSAUR/FOG GUITAR THANGG, tho’.

what i like about dave in <THE> band is he’s playin a RIC. at least he did last time thru sf,cali. thats what <LOUBARLOW> played back in DINOSAUR days and it has a sound along w/ J’s tones that just embellishes each other-there is a tonal center that i dont hear when J is playin w/ other bass players or other basses.

great pix-thanx alott
you can almost *hear* it

hi-
i got the 34 Satellite "STOP" from <bluecollardistro> today and damn if i can find J’s name *OR* sound on this here record. it credits 4 main players and a buncha ‘additional players’ and they thank a hella lot o’ peeps on the inner jacket-but NO J.
so, i am disapointed for this dis/misinformation.
if thats what it was
did i read something in this thread wrong?
