i like my stock bridges!
i read alot on the web where it says to change out the bridge-my friend has a Japanese Jazzmaster and he had a tech just put a groove or notch per string right into the bridge-i guess for stability-but i’ve never had a problem.

i gotta coupla RI Jazzmasters that i bash around.
i dont think i could say anything about them that you couldnt find out from findin one and plugging it in…
like Mick said in that tune "its the singer, not the song"
so its the player not the instrument.

i’m likin this thread-
i think the new album will be like this!
no! its gonna be just like this!
you are so wrong-they are gonna do it like this and it will sound like that.
no way-they are not doing it that way-believe me when i say they are going to be doing this…

there are at least 10 different versions of the BIGMUFF…
i have always used the ones from the early 80s.
they sound better and are discernably different from modern ones.
and as RogerMayer has said-"batteries are better".

let me add my 2 cents to this here topic.
i know we have here J fans-Lou fans-and Murph fans and their own personal music fans…i’m here to say i never been a fan of the individual efforts(dont kill me
)-i feel it somehow watered down that original purpose that the band had- but i am the BIGGEST fan of the Original DINOSAUR band…
i dont know if its a case of the sum being greater than the parts or what but it seems to me that these guys spark each other to heights that cant be reached individually. and i guess these guys are surrendering to that force.
life is short and what they can achieve musically is very important to me and i’m sure a huge number of others-
so i’m sayin RAGE ON-DINOSAUR!!!

i’m PRETTY sure he did and does!
from an old interview w/ Lou:
"We were good, but our shows were way too loud. J didnt give a fuck about the audience. He wore ear protection all the time. We would be practicing and he would put earplugs in and the blast cups over the top of them-like a construction worker-and he would have both of his amps pointed directly at us. His whole thing was he wanted to ‘feel the music’. We were just so myopic, not able to see outside ourselves and our little gnarled energy."
also in an old radio interview J says he has "tinnitis…doesnt everybody?"
s
ummm…can you say p a r o d y

and we dont need to go down the ‘i dont like sonicyouth’ path again, do we?
s
hey bob-

WOW a KEIJI HAINO reference on here

he is one of my all time guitar heroes-gotta bunch of his records…
seen him live solo a coupla times and the word ‘intense’ just does not do justice to his performances…
at one show here in san fran a few years ago, someone had a big reel to reel recording the show and it was one of the SonicYouths-but i dont one from another- i would love to get a copy o’ that.
here is a scene from one of the shows: KeiJi was playin in the long bar w/ the stage at the very end… people were standing on chairs to get a look, and after a few minutes of the SONIC BLAST they slowly wilted into their seats -it was so completely intense-like standing right behind the afterburners of a BlueAngel Jet engineÂ
