the great speculation thread

they would probably do this
they wouldnt do this…
one thing i KNOW you wont see is DINOSAUR opening up a show for anyone.
sez me

damn-such negative vibes slagging other bands on a thread about favorite DINOSAUR moments…
in the spirit of the season my favorite moment is when they were all in a room, looked at each other and said they could/would play together again.
the force and beauty of those reunion shows this year made it a good one for me. especially amidst all the badness in the world

ahem…..
Frets on a guitar require Professional work done on them!
whether its grinding and smoothing or total replacement its not a job for the novice.
course this is depending on how important yer guitar is to YOU…
that Epi is a good guitar-i got one-they rule

can you specifically put up the url so i can click on it and go to that unfindable page?
thanks if ya can
s
so the upcoming dvd will be in surround sound?
dont know what that sounds like-never heard it…
i hook my cheapass dvd player to (1) JBL EON Powered Speaker(250W MONO!) which i loop thru to a JBL EON Powered SUB and it can really make some noize-cant wait for DINOSAUR rumblin my apartment and neighbors

i was at the studio of the original guy that built NYOUNG’s WHIZZER and he offered to do a smaller version for me-he has worked on my amps before-but the price was still prohibitive…(maybe he was joking anyway!)
Sal Trentino was Neil’s tech early on and helped w/ alot of custom stuff Neil has…
s
thanks for seein it up close!
i gotta Victoria Deluxe and it KIX…

"fasteddyclarke " wrote:that Marshall is an 8×10 cab. the tweed is a Victoria twin, way too clean to be a vintage Fender.good info-thanx, but-how ya know its a Victoria and not say, the new reissue Fender Twin?

… I’m not to sure on the fender but I’m guessing it is from the 60’s as well? From what I hear those are hard to get ahold of if it is not the reissue one(fender). good luck with that.hey thanks for the input…
i hardlee never get answers to my tech questions
i got a bad bad(good) feelin J has one of the very few FENDER 5F8-A TWIN AMPs…
it is reviewed in the Nov. GuitarPlayer and they only made 1000 of those back in ’58&’59…
the latest Vintage Guitar mag w/ interview w/ big collector, who knew, Steven Segal(?)…he says, about his amp collection and i quote:"…They are mostly the 1958 100-watt tweed FenderTwin; the ultimate tube amp in my opinion. you should hear these muthas! There are only a few in the world. I have eight. Between myself, Eric Clapton and Keith Richards, we bought ’em all."
well, not all if J MASCIS got one-lucky him…

Great shots!!
i can almost tell which songs J is doing just by his stances these days
now on to that huge cab-anybody know what and how many spkrs are in those? and finally some shots of that TweedTwin he has on top of that Marshall cab-anyone know anything about that Fender? he has been using it since SF i think…
i know how hard lt is for anyone to answer these type questions here-but its worth a shot.

November 27, 2005 at 5:05 pm in reply to: probably not warranted, but im still disgruntled over DVD #113066like yall-i am looking forward to the dvd(s) but i think my hopes are too high.
i’m just glad i got to see the O G DINOSAUR this year and nothing beats a live show-specially w/ these guys. a dvd or any other reproduction can only approximate something as huge and transcendent as a DINOSAUR show.
YMMV
s
i think you guys are misusing that word "cool"…
maybe J is cool(mildly cold) w/ no shirt but i’m happy to not see that pic again
s
damn- alotta folks @ the show-full house and J playin his ass off-seemed like his fuzzfactory was cuttin in and out early on-but he fixed it…
i’m just wonderin why all those people are NOT on this list and if they are why no posts…
oh well, we had the time of our life and picked up ‘J+friends sing+chant for AMMA’ fer $10.
loved the medleys…

and i kinda doubt that cambridge show will be their last…like Lou said he has to ‘surrender to the power’ or whatever he said…
