hey peeps-settle down-altho’ i have NO inside info-i can practically guarantee that that show was audioed and videoed bigtime-for a show w/ those tunes intact/ it would be weird after all the taping they have done on this tour to leave this one out…
my take anyway
s
man, if you find out pleez let me know…
i am NO fan of tablature but i cant figure it out either…
s"crazycloud " wrote:1991 the year punk broke???? what is punk the name of someones biccyle or something … ??<Â punk broke in 1977/1978 or arguably earlier…. jeez luiose…ummm…surelee you know about this great video of the tour in ’91.
it came out in ’93Â on geffen-"1991 THE YEAR PUNK BROKE".
‘take a trip w/ SonicYouth and nirvana as they stumble thru their 1991 euopean club-festival tour. Let filmmaker Dave Markey put you on stage, off stage and backstage!
witness the boredom the cynicism! and rock harder than you may have ever rocked before! featuring Dinosaur Jr, babes in toyland gumball the ramones and a surging wave of punk rock fanatics! seee you in the pit!’
i think they are stretching w/ the title-i think they meant commercially-punk broke to the masses of record/ticket buyers-w/ Nirvana, etc….
great movie and great DINOSAUR footage!
stan says thumbs up
i only caught one show too-Fillmore…
and i got a feeling thats all there is folks
yet there is this funny feeling it aint over too

bitch bitch bitch
i dont know-what would judge judy say?
…complaining about the noise at a DINOSAUR show is like…oh i dont know, eskimos complaining about the snow?
swimmers saying the waters too wet?
government officials having NO clue about how to take care of people in need
s

you off yer meds again, derek?
you off yer meds again, pesto?
yeah i like how they have NO drum riser!
more bands should take notice…that drumset in the sky thing is so sixties…
also it lets the other musicians interact more easily(eye contact, etc.).
the band i work w/ <the> have always worked their stage like that, also Los StraightJackets and i’m sure more than that.
great shots btw…
and for the guitar techies out there-J has a Tweed 2X12 amp on stage these days…
anyone know anything about what exactly it is-i could hear it here in sf.
s
loaded question

you should ask: why do guitarists like ephiphones when they are cheaper than Gibsons…?
i have an Epi LesPaul w/ those soapbar type p/u’s and i get every sound i’ve ever wanted out of it…
s
i’m happy to say i know nothing of which you speak(Lords of the New Ringworms?)-livin in my little <stanitarium>…J looks like J
but… i am glad that a band who was playin live music in the 80s is STILL playin music and great music at that…i wonder how many bands that were playin back then can still bring it-or even play-or are in the biz-or are even alive…
