not to be a nitpicker
and as a HUGE record(vinyl) buyer and collector, "kinda vinyl like" kinda doesnt work for me. to me records and cds are like apples and oranges…they both are fruits-the comparison ends there…
records sound so much better to me-but hey, thats me

i just use those two terms interchangably

If you actively play that guitar, I think J’s signature would kill any personal spirituality you have with that guitar. It’s just an opinion. I hope people don’t flame me, but there are just some things I wouldn’t want signed.haha-i read ya loud and clear…
but have to say-i do activelee play/wank that guitar and any ‘spirituality’ it might hold would only be if J signed it
and having seen his signature-it would probably be illegible anyway…

in the 90s it was definitelee DINOSAUR JR. nee FOG

i just pulled out that old ‘Keeblin’ jem w/ those live tracks and it kix my ass big time!
i think its worth buying whatever it cost…
that 9 minutes plus of ‘what else is new’ w/ J doin that insane solo is worth the price of admission. i saved the WallStreetJournal review of these cuts:
"…but it’s his guitar work that dazzles most. He is absolutely relentless, sending out piercing squeals and chaotic flourishes in songs that lurch and whirl."
WOW

just caught "WeJamEcono" here in sanfran and what a great movie!!
saw the Minutemen here back in the 80s and this flick definitelee does that great band well-a lot of live shows included and interviews..
my one complaint: J Mascis is interviewed-yay!!…for 10 seconds-boo!!
i’ll still get the dvd-anything to support the cause…

"probably 50 watt…"…100W its much too loud"- wha?
sorry, in all the interviews i have w/ J, it mentions 100Watters-
NO mention of 50W amps…
and since there is only on average 3 dbls gained when doubling the wattage-no use for 50watts as he was/is known for playing at ‘chromosome-bending volume’
for info please go to ‘FOSSILS’ on this site and look at "magazine articles w/ J" and at the bottom of the first page is an in depth story from GuitarPlayer magazine on all his stuff…
