Thanks Tom. However, they never seem to reply to emails – I’ve tried a few times before. I just wondered if anyone else had heard anything – it may well come out in the US before it hits the UK.
Cheers anyway
This just in from City Slang UK:
The single is being released in the UK on 7" only. City Slang’s
European set up – which is separate to the UK one – is releasing it on
CD as well. I’m afraid sometimes these are the breaks. I am sure you’d
be able to get one on import, and I apologise that you can’t find it
more easily in the UK. There are a number of reasons, boring to say the
least…
If you draw a blank I will see what I can do but I am out of the Uk
until next week.
Best wishes,
WyndhamOK – I don’t know what’s going on with the release of this single but I am only able to get hold of the 7" version.
The UK distributors are claiming that there isn’t a CD singlerversion at all! Has anyone managed to get hold of the CD single version yet?
It’s more annoying because the CD was supposed to have three tracks while the 7" only has "Waistin’" and "Leaving On A Jet Plane"!
Too many topics on this gig so I’m not sure where to put this…..
I thought the gig was brilliant – sound was better than at the Astoria (although SBE is a shit venue)
Here’s a stab at the set list:
BUDGE
I’M NOT FINE
SAME DAY
LITTLE FURY THINGS
BACK BEFORE YOU GO
PEEL MEDLEY
AMMARING
WAISTIN
THE WAGON
(3 or 4 STOOGES songs)
(more STOOGES )
FREAKSCENE
Included in the covers were:LOOSE
NO FUN (with Mr Gillespie)
I WANNA BE YOUR DOG
TV EYE
Can anyone else make more sense of this?It comes out on the 11th of June (next Monday)
Have a look at http://www.cityslang.com/home.html
They have a picture of the single and details. It will come out on CD and as a limited 7".
Apologies if everyone has seen this already…
yes Eitzel is supporting – his new album is brilliant.
mark mulcahy is playing also.I know that some of the tracks on Martin and Me were recorded in London as I saw a news article about it – however, it didn’t list all the ins and outs of which songs and which venues. I guess the details must be somewhere in the Reprise vaults…….
Hey sst
you’re living all over me was originally issued under the name Dinosaur – but because of the exposure the album got the other band called Dinosaur found out and asked them to change their name. So when they re-pressed the album later on it was under the Dinosaur Jr name. You must be one of the originals to have that edition….
