Matt is right on. I’ve read a couple that are pretty solid, and I’ve read a few where the author just showing off.
Dino and Built to Spill have played several dates together. Jim builds effect pedals. Maybe Jim built one for J….just a guess.
I’ve met J several times over the years, and he’s always been nice. He just talks slowly, and I think many people assume it’s disinterest. I was lucky enough to go with him to a few guitar stores once, and he’s actually very funny.
I;ve always loved Bettie Serveert. The last couple albums have been a let down. Hopefully the new one is solid.
I used to think "Mountain Man" blew, then I saw the Download festival version on youtube. That song is ferocious live.
I never really liked "Don’t". But if I had to choose, the two worst Dinosaur songs to me are both covers. "Lotta Love" and "Feel a Whole Lot Better" would’ve been so much better if J or Lou had done the vocals.
LOL. I don’t know about beating old age, but I will be down to one job soon, so that will free up quite a bit of my time.

I was lucky enough to chat with the band at got to see the soundcheck.Excellent show. Dino sounded great. Lots of great songs in the set list.Raisans and I Don’t Wanna Go There were my two favorites on the night. I really enjoyed Lou’s band that opened as well. Grabbed the cd after the show. I was bummed the ink smeared when I washed the Lou shirt I bought last night. Be careful when you wash them everybody. Lots of cool Dino merch.
I remember seeing you Weezerfreak, sorry I didn’t say hi. Spotted the Port Huron jacket, but I just didn’t put it together and realize it was you. I was the tall guy in the Kyuss shirt that was with the guy taping the show next to the bar.As far as the Haunted House, I’ve never been there. The crackheads and nightlife of Pontica usually make the trip scary enough.
