I was bummed to hear about Ron’s passing as well. I was lucky enough to see him play with J many times over the years in Ann Arbor.

Awesome! Best J interview I’ve ever heard. It was nice to hear him in such a good mood. I thought his comments on Lars drumming was pretty funny too.

Dinosaur Jr with Built to Spill is my dream concert. I wanted to fly out to California when J and Doug did that film music thing a year or two ago, but couldn’t. I’ll definitley drive to New York. I’d prefer to hear Keep It Like a Secret, but PFNO will be great.

Please dont take my responses as an attack, just a differing opinion.
They are grown men. Two of them have a wife and child. I’m guessing they were offered money to have a song of their’s in a video game. How is that selling out? It’s not like they have comprimised their music in any way. Dinosair Jr is my favorite band. Their music has brought me much joy over the years. Any time I see them get paid, I’m happy. I don’t understand why so many people want their favorite artist to be poor. To me , the idea of selling out would be comprimising the music, and I don’t think Dinosaur has ever done that.
I think the fact they have a song on the video game is great. A friend of mines band had a song on the Twisted Metal game for the PS2, and he said the money they received for their song being on the video game was greater then any other pay day his band had ever received.
Dino gets some extra cash, and may even get some new fans. How is that lame?

I got my J model at Huber & Breese in Fraser. They are a great store. My favorite in the metro detroit area. Elderly Instruments in Lansing had one as well. It’s well worth the trip to Lansing to go there. Both stores usually have an american reissue on site too.
Midland Music had a J model on ebay. I’ve never been there, but those are a few options of landing one in Michigan.
I love my J Jazzy. It blows away my MIJ reissue. I think the J model is actually cheaper then the American reisssues too.
A friend of mine that lives in Ann Arbor has two J models because of an ordering mix up. If your interetsed in purchasing one, pm me, and Ill get you in tocuh with him.
