… Sent emails to several Chicago guitar shops (not that anyhing would ever show up here but you never know)

Hi Tom, how’s it going? I think that one is the ’59 Jazzmaster.

good … thanks. Just got back from my own little Dino tour to New Haven and then to Montreal. Drove straight through to New Haven and then back to Chicago from Montreal. Oy.

        hey kevin …

which guitar is this ? It’s from Forget the Swan on the Rollins show … I’m guessing it’s either the vintage or new purple sparkle jazzmaster.

i also think it’s heredity too though.

It’s definitely heredity in J’s case. I met his brother Mark last night and he’s completely grey as well. If you didn’t know any better, you’d swear he was Lee Ranaldo.

Thanks alot for the set list, I really hope they play a couple more early songs when I see them, Expressway, Master Dik or Catholic Block would be amazing

They played Catholic Block along w/ World Looks Red & Shaking Hell at Osheaga. Not sure if they’ll keep playing them as the last two were the encores and I thought I heard them say that they were "special" songs.

Also, did anyone else notice Lou looked like he had a fat lip? His lip looked a little swolen and red. Was he drinking kool-aid? Or did someone hit him?

              that’s a birthmark.

How’s J doing? It must be pretty devastating, I hope he doesn’t attack anyone in New Haven tonight in anger.

I guess J was doing OK. Having his wife there w/ him probably helped. They are probably in Amherst right now getting shit together. Lou has a friend coming down from Westfield w/ a bass that was at his parents’ house. He’s apparently not all that broken up about losing the bass as he had just gotten it back before the reunion.

The rest of them finally left Brooklyn about 30 minutes ago so it’ll be a huge PITA to deal w/ rush hour traffic.

the Rickenbacker is Lou’s. The "Warlock" bass was bought as a backup by J last fall. Not that it matters now, I guess.

Hasn’t J said recently that they’re sick of playing the same songs. This seems like a good time to try out some new stuff. One could only hope.

Really hope that happens, would be VERY cool to hear a preview of the any new Dinosaur music!

Lou said the same thing to me a couple weeks ago when I joked about it. I didn’t press him on the issue so who knows what might happen. He also said that J had scrapped some of the songs they had been working on in the studio and that he (Lou) might be getting a few of his own on the record after all. But again, who knows how it ultimately will work out.

FYI — I’m gonna FTP an excellent MPG of FTS to FSF after I get home FWT (from work today).

For the low low price of £250.

Perhaps J is due for a visit from the "Queer Eye" boys. He’s not half as cool as those buffoons on "Rock Star: Supernova" ::)

that prolly won’t work ;) The point is to talk about anything other than music if you want him to ‘open up’.

The best part is when J starts to totally open up when she brings up soap operas. ;D

And in my opinion that’s probably the way to go if you ever meet J — start talking about Gilmore Girls (seriously).

oh, no doubt. I used to be a huge fIREHOSE muster roll-er and have been listening to the Minutemen forever. I also was lucky enough to meet/hang w/ him last year at Dino’s ATP show in London, standing next to him while he played air bass off stage left. Great, genuine guy, but those videos ….. oof.
