        here’s what I know …

Me: So, uh, Kath, can you ask Lou what’s up w/ the live DVD ? All the folks at freakscene are freaking out
Kath: Lou ! Tom wants to know the deal w/ the DVD
Lou (in background): Uh … I dunno .. it’s still in the works, I guess (paraphrasing)
Kath: Lou says it’s in the works
        Me: ok. thanks

        glad I could help ;)

wow … I didn’t think watt could fuck anything up more than he does all the Stooges material w/ all his incessant noodling but I’m proven wrong.

Horrible. Just horrible. he should definitely just stick to his own material.

Was Raisans the only tune they played?

they played "Forget the Swan" as well. The mix seemed to lack bass & cymbals, however.

Oh, and Rollins is perhaps the WORST talk show host ever. What’s w/ all the goofy hand gestures while reading the teleprompter ?

I agree about the Chicago shows. Amazing sound quality on those recordings, I think.

But, it’s the 2nd night that’s better ;) J was much more "on".

or perhaps it’s because they have been friends for 20+ years. SY has their own studio so I doubt they did anything at J’s.

Or maybe he babysits Coco. :P

Poledo means …. poledo. It’s a nonsense word like Sebadoh, SenTRIdoh, etc …

I’m pretty sure the Didjits & Scratch Acid shows are one-offs at a fest called the Hideout Block Party as part the Touch & Go 20th Anniv. party. Shellac is also playing. Maybe we’ll get a Rapeman song or two as well :o

yeah … I have a feeling it’s been hacked. A couple weeks ago I tried to go to jakerock.com and there was stuff like "HaCkEd by MiNDCrimE" all over it. :(

Anthony, you are right that is Ajay in the Freak Scene video. Tom, I think you mean "re-introduced" cuz he first met everybody back when the old Dinosaur toured Europe several times in the 80’s.

ah yes … that rings a bell. I remember that he was a SuperFan.

I’ll have to check when I get home, but I doubt it. IIRC, Ajay got introduced to the band through Lou last summer after working him on one of his solo tours.

I definetly would love to know more about San Fran. Sadly, I probably will be spending a fair amount of time doing the tourist thing.. If nothing else, I just want ride a trolley and see the golden gate.

If you can drag yourself out of bed, the best view of the bridge is from the Marin Highlands at sunrise. I shot this a few yrs ago … definitely worth the bleary-eyed wakeup.
