they just did it reeeeallllyyyyy ssssllllllloooooowwwwwly

There were a few dopes at the Spaceland show but other than that I haven’t seen any moshing in, oh, 10 years or so ?
Good riddance.
word on the street/from the tour bus is that they’re going to play a 2nd show at the Metro on Sunday night.
If I find out anything this week, I’ll be sure to let y’all know.

what’s funny is that J seems to have found Lou’s old glasses at the thrift store

I got all the rest of the pics processed and uploaded. I didn’t have to time really go through each one to get rid of all the noise but I guess they are OK. Not a lot of great shots of J, unfortunately, as I was on the Lou side of the stage. When you see him, tell him he needs a new camera
(it was his)have a look !

A few things …
1) Sebadoh played Rebound & Shit Soup on Conan O’Brien way back in The Day.
2) Just got back from LA. Watched the show Friday w/ Lou, Kath, J, Murph, a guy named Bart, a publicist & someone else. Hannelore was asleep on the couch. I sat right next to J.

3) There were some nervous looks when CF introduced the reissues as the band’s "entire back catalog". Eep. Probably semantics, but it’s obviously not the Whole Truth.
4) Lou is definitely "into" reunion.
5) J was apparently very nervous during the taping. He fudged some of the song but in general they were happy with the performance.
6) Highlight for Lou was playing with the old "Price Is Right" games on the floor below the studio.

I’m just a friend of Kath & Lou and I certainly don’t have the complete picture of their finances so I guess all I can do is tell everyone to make sure they contribute to the Hannelore Barlow College Fund

Now if only I could get a hold of Kath to see if it’s cool to fly out for the show …

please see your PM.
The song was "Legendary". As far as how they got on, I believe the Merge PR department arranged it w/ the O.C music coordinator (or vice-versa). Don’t know how much $$ he got (probably not really that much) but hopefully it leads to some sales. It’s quite the arbiter of musical taste for the kids nowadays.

"lethrneck4" wrote:i thought J was quoted in an earlier interview saying they will play Kracked on the late, late show. i hope so, one of my fav dino songs ever!you could be right. who knows. But as of Tuesday at about 12pm PDT, Kathleen said they didn’t know. Either way, it’ll be very cool to see them play together again. One thing is for sure — J has aged *a lot* more than Lou has over the years. He looks like 10 yrs older than Lou does.
That Spaceland show should be nutty, what with them getting only 3-4 days rehearsal time all together. It’s been 20 yrs since Lou probably played some of those songs and at least 8-10 for Murph. Does J play "classic"-era Dinosaur songs with the Fog ??
my first post … but here’s an update …
Lou & Murph have been rehearsing in LA for the last week or so. Everything was going swimmingly, so I’ve heard. Lou played a one-off show in Denver over the weekend and unfortunately got stuck in the snow but J’s manager(s) got him a bass on which to practice. He was scheduled to arrive back in LA yesterday, as was J (which is when the real craziness begins !). The song they’re gonna be playing on the Late Late Show is still up in the air.
cheers.
