When I watched it J was wearing a zippered hoodie sweatshirt with squiggly lines all over it(see the photo in the post above mine) – I googled "the wipers over the edge" and found this:

Lou was wearing a long sleeve all black shirt & Murph had on a button down dress shirt….
so… what are you talking about? none of them were wearing t shirts and I don’t see the wipers album cover….I’m confused.

The Wipers tee is under his hoodie.

yup … he’s definitely into Dawson’s Creek. I’ve also seen Gilmore Girls box sets on the tour bus. J loves him some Lorelei Gilmore. Maybe I’ll suggest he start on Veronica Mars next :D

Just to give a heads-up, that as of right now, no one has come forward with a recorded video from last night for freesofree.net

If you have the video, email webmeister@freesofree.net and it will go online.

I have it on my TiVO. I can prolly get it copied off of there over the weekend. I’ll try and get some friends’ help w/ the encoding as last time I did that for the Rollins show it ended up with either a 30MB file or a 300MB file.

"Yessssirreee ! How ’bout that ? Nice going ! <heh> I like that ! Dinosaur Jr. everybody … Thank you very much gentlemen", Dave said.

No closeups of Lou, however ??? He really had the bass roar going on that new Fender he’s got.

J forgot to take the tag off his guitar strap.

cheapshot rules, loewenstein used to scream "R A M 0….N A R Y" during the "chorus" or chord rock out part. then lou decided to cut that part out, but on wade through the boggs theres an awesome wicked punked out version with the scream, i love it.

Hmm … now it all makes sense. One of Lou’s good friends from back east is named Ramona. I love the hardcore version as well.

a minor nit: ‘Cheapshot’ is one of their oldest songs, not a new song. ;)

looks like they’ve added

26 June London
27 June Amsterdam
28 June Fribourg, Switz
30 June Berlin

Plus, someone posted on the wikipedia page that they were opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers ( ??? , but that still == $$$) in Munich on 29 July and Hamburg on 1 July. I’ve yet to hear anything else about this or confirm w/ Lou.

what’s up w/ Lou’s bass strap changing from shot to shot ?? In one it’s a skull/crossbones and in the next it’s plain black. Continuity error or on purpose ??

"Dinosaur Jr." management are there to show faces (Lou is there and I am there so they have to turn up). There is no mention of "Dinosaur Jr" plans and whether they need my services as a sound engineer, and conversation is kept polite. You can pretty much take it that the yes men have won their day and that control is finally complete. They can appoint at will and milk all cash cows to bleeding point. "It’s a shit business" as Joseph always says. How true, how true!

What’s that all about?…….

I guess he’s implying that J’s management are running the show. Ajay’s a great guy but he sure seems to slag a lot of folks in his blog (cf Sonic Youth).

Good to see Lou got 2500 smackers for his bass. Cha-ching.

i hope they dont do "been there all the time" or "this is all i came to do" or "almost ready" cause allthough those seem to be the ones theyre hyping, theyre my least favorites. if they do play one of those ill enjoy it cause i do enjoy those songs i just like the other tracks alot better. im pretty sure they will play one of those though.. but who knows?

I happen to think the 1st 30 seconds of ‘Almost Ready’ kicks ass. So there :D

But, why would they play something that isn’t the ‘single’ ? (ie "Been There All the Time"). As if that means anything since it implies it gets played on the radio.

Anyways, I guess I can always ask Lou.
