They definately sound way better live. Sonically it’s night and day. Too bad we don’t have studio recordings of those currently. That sure would be way cool.

Damn that sucks! I ordered mine from easy street records, the local (seattle) buymusichere affiliate. My CD’s came the next day. Is there a way they can track your priority mail? You should have them by now Priority takes 3 days to most anywhere in the continental US.

I told you man, just hang around and you’ll be able to meet the guys. Yeah I know what you mean about being all nervous in J’s presence, I couldn’t think of anything to say either. I still don’t remeber how we started talking about jazzmasters, glad we did though. I’m stoked for you Sam, thats awesome! ;D

*The guitar solo in Thumb is a definate favorite
*Ace frehleys guiatr solo in concert with the fireworks and all.
*The intro to Caught Between by the Screaming Trees, sounds great and its a good lesson on Arpeggios.

Man I know theres more I’ll have to think about it and come back.

              Cool thread!

I agree this is my favorite Dino album of all time. If I were stranded on a desert island with only one CD Greenmind would be it. 8)

Yep, totally weird. In the article I read it said that that type of thing typically never works.

Still, it would be way cool to see a Centaur. :)

                      I read about this yesterday.

It’s weird to think about interbreeding, who gonna say, "Fuck that chimp is hot!" and hook up with it?

Maybe a more likely reason for the interbreeding was that aliens were experimenting.

                      Food for thought at least.

It’s a totally different show, though alot of the songs are the same it’s still well worth it. J’s banter between songs is great.

Yep I got mine today too. They sound great, definately fuller not only in the bass, but the drums on greenmind sound insane! I really like the CBGB CD too, J seems to talk quite a bit in between the songs which is kind of a rarity these days. All in all I’m very happy with the reissues. ;D

If you get the chance to see them live, do it! Doug Marsch is like J in a way. He played a show in Seattle once a few summers ago and the last song of the set he solo’d for a half hour straight! It has gone down as one of the legendary shows in Seattle history. I wish I had been in attendance that night, unfortunately I missed it.

Before Built to Spill Doug was in a band called the Treepeople. They had a CD and it might be hard to find, but if you can find it, its totally worth it.
