That’s Lou wearing the glasses in the above picture.
It’s weird seeing J with short hair though.
Quote:Primarily "You’re living all Over"/ "Dinosaur" (along with "Sister" by SY AND "Ecstacy" by MBV) is the reason I picked up a guitar.I wish I could say the same. I heard Money for Nothin by Dire Straits and wanted to pick up the guitar. Don’t bag on me too hard though I was only 11 or 12 (5th or 6th grade).
It was a few more years until I was trying to play Dinosaur stuff.Quote:On the other hand, I mean how famous was Danny Gatton (god reast his soul). Really very much more famous than J outside the circle of muso/ guitar nuts? I dunno.I would have to believe that J has a bigger name than Danny Gatton. J is a bonafide guitar great, hailed as the one responsible for introducing guitar solo’s and lead guitar work into indie/college rock. Danny Gatton is just some guy who played hillbilly jazz. Don’t get me wrong Danny Gatton is good, but I think J’s influence is a bit more profound.
Does anyone have a contact for Fender? I can’t find an email address on their website. If anyone knows how we can BUG Fender about this that would be great.
Holy shit thats fucking awesome! I hope it goes to production, I’d love to own one of those.
Is there anyway to view the article on line?
HA!, good story. Thants the kind of stuff that makes the workday go by a little faster. Thanks, I hope we get some more.

It looks like Ajay to me. I never noticed it before. Pretty cool.
I saw Dinosaur Jr in Seattle during the Without a Sound Tour. It was at a club and was pretty crowded. I was standing next to a chained off area above the crowd. This spot was choice as I had an unobstructed view to the stage (fairly close too). About a third of the way into Dinosaur Jr’s set security escorted a local celebrity in to the chained off area I was standing next to. For the rest of the show I got to watch Dinosaur Jr with Kim Thayil from Soundgarden. It was pretty rad.
That Husker Du vid is weird too. I remeber rocking out to that album in high school. I should pull it back out and listen to it, there were some great memories with that record.

I really would have liked to seen Budge and the Post though. To bad thay didn’t so Bug start to finish like they did YLAOM in England, that would be cool.
I guess thats the kind of shitty stuff a major would try to pull. It wouldn’t surprise me.
I remember watching that when it aired. I was like "what the fuck?!" I thought it was very strange, and felt they should’nt have stooped to that level. Oh well, they J stopped the bleeding a little while after the show when Dinosaur Jr called it a day.
I just bought my wife a new Honda Pilot. The thing is fully loaded, its pretty sweet. Nicest automobile I’ve ever bought. Actually I couldn’t believe I could afford it.

I came out of nowhere too. Is it true that if you don’t use your Karma you lose it?
Sweet I’m glad I could help out.
