I know I’m on the west coast, but I know a Vintage guitar retailer who has a pretty big name within the industry. He’s sold J some stuff in the past. I emailed him the list of stuff stolen with the serial numbers. Hopefully he can spread the word through many of the Vintage guitar resellers he knows. I wish there was more I could do……… :-

Another Girl, I just wanted to let you know that you do an amazingly great job finding articles and news about Dinosaur. Not sure if anyone thanks you for it, so I wanted to say great job and thank you very much for all you do around here. I appreciate it very much.

Yeah I totally agree. A lot of the time for me the singles aren’t the best song on the album. Like Without a Sound. Obviously the big hit was Feel the Pain, but my personal favorite is Over Your Shoulder. Which I think is one of the best songs J has ever written. Its crazy to me how much people miss out when they don’t give an entire album a chance, or read liner notes for that matter. :-
Can’t we move this and Mick rule. Though it isn’t my favorite dinosaur record, its still pretty good. Give it another chance I bet in the end it will grow on you.

Yep J plays on that one and another. check out http://www.vagrant.com for more details.
Its not a mustang bridge, J uses the tune o matic bridges that come on SG’s and Les Pauls
I know J has a pretty nice set of DW Drums at home just to record with, I’m not sure what he plays with on the road.
Well I’m 5’9" so judge for yourself…..

Maybe 5’11" or 6′
I thought it would be cool too, but wasn’t sure since they’re back together if it would be lame. I guess I could bill it as Tonasaur – A tribute to Dinosaur jr. It’s only an opening spot so the set would only be like 6 maybe 7 songs. It would be rad to throw that shit down like J though.
Yeah the wolf shirt is a definate too.
Hasn’t J said recently that they’re sick of playing the same songs. This seems like a good time to try out some new stuff. One could only hope.

I know most people will say YLAOM is the best Dino album but Bug sounds a little better production wise and of course by record#3 they were playing tighter as a unit more than ever.Yeah I really like bug too, but I’m not sure how much Lou and Murph actually played on it. Remember this was the time where they really didn’t get along to well. I remember reading that Lou and Murph recorded their parts for the album really quick, and weren’t around for the rest of the recording. J did alot of this album by himself. I think in one of the the reissue liner notes Sean Kolderie said the only reason J liked working with them is because they let him do what ever he wanted. It is tighter but I wonder if thats due to J recording alot of it himself. I don’t know.
I still love Bug it was the first Dinosaur Jr album I bought. Green Mind is my favorite closely followed by YLAOM. Come to think of it the whole catalogue is amazing.
