My favorite so far was the moon and antactica, followed by the lonesome crowded west. The last one was cool, I usually stop listening when the bands I like start getting commercially successfull. Not sure why, I guess their not indie enough for me anymore once that happens. I still think Johnny Marr joining the band is way cool and can’t wait to hear the new stuff.
Back to topic, Pink Floyd has some fun ones to play that are pretty easy. Try Mother, or Wish You Were Here.
Its really the only Sonic Youth album I’ve gotten into. I really like it. I don’t really pay much attention to the lyrics on this one as much as I do the melodies. I realy like the arrangements, and drumming.

Yeah it was an article like that. Maybe it was different for me because I knew all that stuff I just didn’t know how to put it all together. I agree reading that shit and trying to understand it just makes playing the guitar laim. All I ever wanted to do with the guitar is rock. One thing to watch out for though is that when I learned all these ‘rules’ it limited my playing because I was always analyzing it. I lost creativity because all I wanted to do was write a brilliant technical guitar part. The part of me that picked up a guitar and played a distorted open A chord and thought it sounded amazing was gone. It took me a long time to get that point of view back. I still struggle with it. Sometimes I watch J and I’m like that is so simple but it rocks so hard………. Anyways I’m being long winded now. Good luck Rage.
I learned theory from a guitar one magazine. It was really weird becuase I was having the hardest time trying to understand how everything fit. I had learned these major and minor scales and the different modes, but I just didn’t get how it all worked. One read through that article and the lightbulb went off. I got it. I asked some friends who knew theory some questions to make sure I understood it, and I did. It was like I became a way better guitar player over night. So maybe find a good article that explains it, and shows examples. Thats how I learned.
Does anyone know a street date for release on these shoes yet? I would hate to miss an opportunity to buy them (in a size that actually fits).

Those are pretty Ace Frehley, all the more reason to buy.
