it’s lou, mumbling/muffling….
Yup, I think so, too. Actually I’m friends with one of the guys from that band, but I have to ask what the bass players name is….
Is this really an officially J/Fender-licensed T-Shirt design ?
In fact, it looks really cheap.Dude, I saw Dino 8 times in the past 1+1/2 years and I’d take Dino anytime.
J solo sure is fun, too, but….
Dino is the real deal.
1.) Overheads are supposed to pick up the cymbals – that’s why they’re there in the first place
2.) Close-miking is better than miking something from far away – if you mike something close it’s a lot easier to "manage" the sound of an instrument from the mixing-board.
3.) Riding on a crash is fun ! Kickdrums and floor toms are cock-rock !
4.) See 3.) ! Hitting the bell is totally ROCK ! It’s "ACDC" ! It’s forbidden !!!!(OK. So, now I have to mention that I’m a drummer myself… my bands "chief-songwriter" recently "made" me play the bell of my ride (which I hate to do, honestly) and what happened ? There’s a small crack in my ride’s bell now ! Sheet – we’re talking a 300 USD Paiste ride cymbal here….)
5.) MURPH ! And that’s why he is my ultimate drum hero ! (He sure knows how to crash a ride cymbal and at the same time he actually SURFS on it !

6.) Exactly ! I’m a Sag myself ! Hah !
OK. Back to watching birds in the yard with my 1 year old daughter – the place is crowded with pigeons and crows at the moment….

What happened ? I always thought he was a real nice guy…. was happy to hang around with everyone after the shows I’ve seen him play….
Of course it is !
Excellent review – well put ! Thumb – finally !!!! Very excited about this !
And the setlist is killer – great to see several of the "long" songs being played and stuff like "Bulbs…." being mixed with newer ones. From what I know the band members are ok with anything. I think the "no-video" thing came fom Dino’s management around the time the official live DVD came out mainly to have people *buy* the offical product. But that was 3 years ago. A tripod-shot video (filmed from the balcony) of the recent Charlotte show is in circulation, so things might have changed and video could be ok by now. You could ask Dino’s management (check dinosaurjr.com for contact info), they have always been very helpful to tapers.
Get the European vinyl version for something like $20 – it includes the "7 as a free bonus (and a great poster)….

But why would Lou smash an iPhone ? Lou’s totaly a mac-guy ….

Thanks for letting us know ! Unfortunately I am getting an error message:
"Connection failed ! Only Belgian IP adress allowed !"
Too bad, I was hoping for some live My Bloody Valentine tonight….

Cool ! BTW, that guitar J is playing on is Lou’s Martin accoustic guitar !
I talked to a friend of mine who works at the local record store and he told me that he hasn’t heard anything about the corrupted version and that PIAS did not inform them about the misspressings and they’re still selling off the stock of cd’s that came in a couple of weeks ago ….

I’m hoping for some European club dates, too (Germany/Belgium/Netherlands).
