I fixed the setlist in my post above & included "Feel The Pain"…

He just didn’t like Dinosaur, that’s all. He tried… So Dinosaur Jr will be plumbing next year… (lol)… I thought it was funny, though. He has humour.
Honestly I really don’t like that Music-Man sound at all – I think it doesn’t match with J’s guitar sound too well (the Jazznmaster being a trebbly-sounding guitar as well)
I was really excited to finally hear a full soundboard version of a recent live show, but that tinny-trebbly bass sound really ruins it for me. I prefer that diesel-tractor-in-yr-face!-sound of the Rick & Fender anytime.I doubt that Lou hates the song. "Repulshit" is just a pretty simple joke (and a good one
!). However, when I saw Sebadoh back in ’96 (when the whole Lou vs J – thing was still in full swing) they came out for an encore and they attempted to play a tease/rip-off version of it with Lou singing the line "I feel your eyes upon me, how should I masturbate…"

The audience was really dead for the 1st half of the show. Lou walked onto the stage – nobody cheered; then Murph came on – nobody cheered; J walks on – a silent whistle somewhere. Lou really tried to interact with the crowd. J seemd to have fun as he smiled a lot. At one point he raised his voice and said "WHAT’S NEXT ?!" Then Ajay (Dinosaur’s 2005/2006 soundguy & tourmanager) came into the pit and started to slamdance and several people joined in. I was right in the middle of it and got shoved around but luckily I ended up right in front of the stage which was even better. Great show, great venue – all for the punkrock price of 13 (!) Euros…

I ordered them 2 months ago but am still waiting for them to arrive…

They said delivery time was 3-to-5 weeks, but… I don’t know. I wonder if the book is available yet. So far I couldn’t find any reviews at all.June 15, 2007 at 10:11 am in reply to: So J is going to be a Dad, I’m suprised this topic is not mo #130091"tonas " wrote:I think its totally rad J is going to be a dad, its another thing I’ll have in common with him. But on the other end its a private family matter and seems a little weird to be obsessing over. I can get behind obsessing over the music, his gear and the like but I would think its a little weird (maybe disturbing) if people were talking about my family or expected child.I guess thats why I haven’t posted much about it, I am content to leave this topic alone.
Hm, I think Tonas is right. Hm, should I delete my post ? I am so undecided….

J being a dad… somehow I didn’t expect that. Cool, sometimes I think EVERYBODY should have kids, but as soon as I realize that there’s SO MANY assholes walking over this planet I see that not everyone is made for having kids. Something tells me that J is going to be a real cool dad. He has this amazing karma that I think kids can relate to. Some "special vibration sort of thing" (see, kids change you in a spiritual way

Saw the nice pictures on your site, I wondered "what they would sound like" > thanks for sharing ! Looking forward to the FLAC’s !!!

(great rendition, aggressive playing etc, but terrible vocals)I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better (The Byrds) (1989, Time Between – A Tribute To The Byrds)
(w/vocals by Lou ‘n’ Artie)also:
I’ve Been Waiting For You (Neil Young) – unreleased 1989
(Lou posted a mp3 of it here: http://www.loobiecore.com/beenwaitingforyou.html”>http://www.loobiecore.com/beenwaitingforyou.html)I wish they’d put that one out. The original 1968 Neil Young recording is almost tame compared to the Dino version – but when Neil & Crazy Horse played it on their 2001 tour their arrangement was closer to the Dinosaur version than Neil’s original studio recording…

J’s mom died in either 1986 or 1987 – there’s a heart on the back of the "You’re Living All Over Me" cover with 3 names written inside of it, one of it is "mom" and another is "Eugene", a guy who lived at the nursing home where Lou used to work back then. I have an old 1991 interview with Lou where he mentions all this stuff…
Pretty soon, I guess !!!

It’s the Winnipeg show !!!
They way they do the "Hold On" part in Pick Me Up (with J & Lou singing and the guitar playing the exact same notes as the vocals) is just hilariously wicked !
There’s a small surprise "Jam" after they do Little Fury Things: Lou & Murph are jamming on the drums/bass part of "Start Choppin" !
After it you can hear Lou say "I tried to learn this song before the tour started…" Hopefully they’ll learn this (and some others) for future shows !
