I really hope they won’t tour Europe in late June and July. No-one tours Europe in the summer since everybody’s on vacation. Unless it’s festivals. In fact, this is my 1st time in 10 years that I have set up for a summer holiday trip. Usually everything I do is planned around other bands’ tours. Right. Who gives a shit.
"d.f.k. " wrote:j said his favorite lou song is "center of the universe." i’ve never heard of this before… does anybody have any clue about it?of course, since he said "toon" he could have also been avoiding the question and making a joke by referencing some obscure cartoon or something. hmmm.
Back in 1985-1987 Dinosaur played an unreleased Lou-tune that has the words "Center Of The Universe" somewhere in the lyrics – you can listen to the song here:
(It’s Track 06, the "unknown title")
It’s somewhat Deep Wound – sounding, so it might be a leftover from those days. Some heavy riffing at the beginning. The exact songname still needs to be confirmed, but it has been circulating as "Center Of The Universe" among collectors for several years – that’s why it’s listed as that on the Dinosaur setlists page: http://members.tripod.com/~bloobf/concert_chronology.html”>http://members.tripod.com/~bloobf/conce … ology.html"dazedcola " wrote:I can’t wait to see Sebadoh live. Its good to hear that the shows have been going over well.I dont know how Lou is going to have time recording new sebadoh material though. He’s supposed to be touring the new dino jr lp after the sebadoh reunion tour…doesnt leave much time.Well, Dinosaur won’t tour forever…
As far as I know Dinosaur will be touring this summer, but I read somewhere that a major tour is set for the end of the year. There has been talk that Sebadoh will probably perform at ATP’s "Don’t Look Back" series and play ALL of Sebadoh III live – this was posted in an interview last year; actually they were asked to play there last year and although the band really wanted to they had to rescedule due to Dinosaur touring Canada – if it will happen, I guess late August/September would be the right time since that’s when most of the ATP London concerts take place and they’ll probably build a tour of Europe around it (Hopefully !
). They can always sneak in some time for recording in between.Awesome, awesome, awesome !!!
Sebadoh IV ! I guess it’s a joke, but with Eric you can never know…
I’m surprised that no recordings have surfaced so far, since Sebadoh have always been a widely taped band and are super-cool about live taping themselves (in fact, if someone is planning to tape them, I have info that you can actually ask the band for help if you have problems getting your recording gear into a venue), it’ s about time some shows show up…March 10, 2007 at 3:25 pm in reply to: Video of J solo This Is All I Came To Do @ 3voor12 March 7 ‘ #126278Go here to listen to more songs from the show:

Damn, why wasn’t this performance listed on jmascis.com ? I could have gone there…

BTW, when you click "Instellingen" (Dutch for "Settings") you can select/change your bandwidth from 500 kbps to 800 kbbs (sounds much better)
I never stole anything in my whole life. Am I Jesus ?
Didn’t Warner drop Dinosaur because "Hand It Over" sold next to nothing ? I think that’s what J said, that he thought people had enough of him and Dinosaur Jr, and then he decided to break up the band and start The Fog. Actually, Dinosaur… The Fog… it’s pretty much the same to me ! Although I always think J sounds better with a real rhythm section. I wonder how many items "Bug" sold…
"Dinosaur_Tarpit " wrote:DINOSAUR JR. BACK FROM EXTINCTIONOh God, they’re BACK FROM EXTINCTION again ! Shit !
Isn’t it time to "extinct this extinction" ? Har har har
It was on the French/German – TV-channel ARTE 2 weeks ago, I have it on VHS, but I am without a DVD recorder so unfortunately I can’t upload it. The interview & live footage was filmed at the Zenith in Paris last December when Dinosaur opened for Sonic Youth. The interview is really funny, it’s about Murph’s "breakdown – incident" where he hurled a table & suitcase around (mentioned in the book "Our Band Could Be Your Life"), I love how the whole band has to laugh about it now, J’s really amused, the whole band comes across like 3 brothers that have grown up together

It has CHICKEN WALK (that’s a cover) ?!
FUCK ! The only version I have breaks off after 20 secs when the tape runs out… And live stuff from Katina’s ?! (This tape is mentioned in Eric’s liner notes to III)… damn ! Who will buy me a copy ? Serious, if anyone wants to or can help out, I’d pay you back, of course. (For some reason, Sebadoh always makes me freak out
)FU$&, how am I gonna get that ?! I’m on the other side of the planet…

Funny about your internet & blog "Sebadoh" search – I’ve been doing the same thing for a week now…
Here’s another interview with Lou… :

Yes, those two Eric songs sound a lot better played with Lou & Jason. Thanks for the info, Tom ! I am TOTALLY excited about this !
Great show and cool setlist, sounds a LOT like vintage 1990/93 era-Sebadoh. Unfortunately I can’t get the 1.4Mbps uncompressed stream to play
(although I’m running a DSL2000 connection), can anybody capture this and FLAC it ?
Cool ! Thanks a lot ! Great to see Lou’s playing his old 4-string accoustic, wow ! Damn, I hope some sounds from the shows will pop up soon. While I am waiting, I’ll enjoy these pics and dream……..
