"Hanging out in Mitte" J mumbled between 2 of his amazing interpretations of dinosaur jr classics and recent releases. that was kinda tribute to the district in the heart of Berlin where the show took place. it was the Oranienburger Straße where hundreds of people were strolling this evening as everyday as it is on of the most attractive places to spend your nighttime. we arrived there at about a quater to 8. I was totally shocked first when I saw the huge queue in front of the Tacheles. my steady dropped me out of the car and I jumped into the fray. but my pulse calmed down soon as I figured out that most of the folks were attending an art event that occured right next to the Tacheles Café. I quickly grabbed two "tix" (stamped blank notes with no. 15 & 16 handwritten on it ) and picked up my girl again after she was looking for a parking spot for about an hour. as we entered the venue only a few tens of fans were around but it soon changed, and finally when J appeard at 10pm as scheduled the café was packed out with people. as we were standing quite far back it was hard to jostle towards the stage. but I had a good few in the end to take some photos. hope they’ll be fine. J seemed to be in well conditions. he was in a good mood, stable on his feet and quite chatty.
I was absolutely amazed by the show like all the other fans around. the crowd was really loud and a big bunch was singing along to J’s songs. I was completely overwhelmed how many fans have made it to come as it was not much promotion done for the show.
J was giving autographs?! Aaargghh, I could bite myself into the arse! but we had to leave the building quickly as my steady wasn’t feeling well.
Flying Cloud, glad you enjoyed the show and I hope you spent a good time in Berlin. I checked my albums to complete the setlist, not much to add but worth to mention:
Quest
Keep The Glove
Throw Down
Keeblinas there are so many newbies registering at freakscene.net every month, I bumped up the "has everyone seen…" topic in the news/stories forum again. there is an acoustic concert available which comes very close to J’s acoustic shows this autumn.

hey mo,
I got the Bizarre Festival on CD-R as well as on video recorded from wdr Rockpalast. you can also download it from several ftp servers. even a acoustic live gig with some new songs you can find there in mp3 and asf formats.
8 hours to go until J appears in the Tacheles Club!!!
take care!

glad to hear that you all like MR! I attended their gig last Saturday, and it was just amazing. they perform their songs much more powerful and guitarized than on their (last 2) albums, so some people may have felt rocked into the corner, but I dug it. I can’t remember to see a band doing their job with such joyousness and gratitude.
yeah, the singing saw thing was just fun, they even played 2 older songs (Chasing A Bee, Frittering) which were really exciting to hear as they are quite far away now from the style they had when these songs came out.
hey Michael, welcome on board. feel sorry for you having to leave out the Karlsruhe gig. it was kind of the same to me as I planned to see ’em in Cottbus.
hey LJ, welcome to you as well. have fun in Cologne. would love to see/read any kind of reviews/photos on the show.
hey Flying Cloud, I’ll catch J in Berlin as well! see you there!
thanks for the info, Anthony.
I already had in mind to handle the task by using images. but the aim is to build up a file server from which you can install several software packages consisting of different systems and applications. and as this server should be used for rollouts at various customers with different requirements, imaging is not the best solution. rui fits more as you can match the customer’s needs by only editing the answer files.
I checked some literature in the last days and figured it out how to solve my problem. there is a difference tool on the winnt cd. you can build an .inf file by making snapshots of the system without Office (or other applications) and another with Office installed. then use the tool a third and last time to record the difference in the .inf file that in the end contains the office installation. very clever! I’m trying to prepare multiple server and client installations for rollouts per remote from a file server by booting the machines to be installed on with a diskette that connects ’em to the data server from which the installations run.
my job is to compose a completely unattended install package with as much software included as possible. I wanna install NT, ServicePack, Office, Notes, IE, Exchange, Norton AntiVirus… on a single run without having to make any user inputs.
the modified SP command lines doesn’t yield the desired result.

*leaving out the "-z" parameter at the SP command, restarting installation and waiting what to happen*
thanks for the quick reply, AnthonyG.
the Office installation directly follows the SP. but without rebooting. do you think there’s the rub?how can I manage automated installation of Office and other applications after reboot & and not having to login manually?
to those who are going to attend the Berlin show – no tickets pre sale, just be there as early as you can. show starts at 10pm. tix are 20 DM. here’s the link to the café where J is going to perform.

JA JA JAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Hope I won’t miss it!
lucky you, simmons, but sorry that you had to pay so much for these boots. I suggest you to regularly check eBay. "Wasted Love Songs" was 21 DM (about 11 US$) and "Out There Live 1997" just 9 DM (about 5 US$)!

finally was sent "Wasted Lovesongs" by DinoJr. pretty good quality recording with an ass-kicking version of "Sludgefeast". as usual a gruesome written playlist, it says "Thump", "They always core", "Keep the flove". last week I put my hands on "Out There Live 97" still waiting…
…and about Gobblehoof’s "Freezer Burn"
