Murph & Lou, never a better rhythm section, period.
An outstanding show all the way around, come back to Burlington soon !!
Hey, and thanks for having the the testicular fortitude to actually ask the crowd at the end what they wanted to hear. You guys are a class act !
Looking foward to when Anthony will post the show on fsf… and seeing what the rest of ya guys think. Had to be there kind of show, but at least its on record. great venue.

But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m happy for the two of them… they seem like good people, and having people on this group wish good things for them seems ok… to me. This board seems generally cool… hopefullly no one will be creepy.
Dunno, that’s just my two cents. If they want it to be "public" they’ll talk about it, (as Lou did) but generally speaking I feel that J’s fans are very respective of his privacy. Hopefully it remains that way.

There has been mention here and there about a new shirt with the J, Lou, and Murph in the sky with being summoned by a Native American. I finally finished the development, and we have finally printed the shirts and are shipping them out to the band today and tomorrow. I’m not sure how they will be distributing them, I’m guessing at the merch booths to start with, perhaps web later. Should be available at the Colorado show in friday.

"im lisa " wrote:i saw that documentary on vh1 i think.. it suckedHeadbangers Journey sucked? Eh. Well I have a personal (amateur) interest in (musical) anthropology so I found it pretty interesting. They had a lot of ground to cover, and it was intended to be for "outsiders" to see metal, from the inside. So they couldn’t cover everything in detail. From that perspective, I thought it was interesting. I Wish they had the same thing for metal/hardcore as they did with those series documentary on the blues. You know, the one Martin Scorsese directed. That would be most excellent.

Here’s a flyer I picked up at the show, and an all-access Dino pass for Higher Ground.

"Neil_ " wrote:No matter how much of Lou’s set you captured/what it sounds like, I hope you guys post it. The second to last song we talked him into playing is something he’s currently working on and "may never release" and the dialogue around it is priceless. I asked him what it was going to be called and it he joked "Piece of S #3".Awesome night.
Yes, I did capture that last song/bit. Due to having no tripod/place to position the camera (last min. addition camera)… it got a little shaky. It’s viewable though. It’s in 8mm, I’ll work on the transfer as time permits.
Just got back from Burlington. The show was fantastic. Had a great time. There will be an audio recording of Dinosaur Jr up soon enough… as for Lou… unfortunately a lot of us got into the show slightly late and so Lou’s set had already started up. I’m not sure how much of it I missed. I was able to video and audio what I was able to see of Lous. There will be no video of Dino however.
BTW just got a text from Anthony… hes still on the train back home, he said hed split the
(dino) recording up on the train, and upload it when hes finished. If the Lou stuff is something thats good enough to go up, it’ll happen sometime after today. Its NOt a complete recording.June 9, 2007 at 11:42 am in reply to: IRVING PLAZA NIGHT 1 SETLIST AND REVIEW. It does not record the best audio when Dino is playing, but it will get Lou in FULL EFFECT. I don’t plan on filming the gig myself, but I will have a cam available in case someone wants to use it.
I’ll have a ThinkPAD T60 laptop running Kubuntu and XP if it’s needed as well. As well as a server (FSF) who can handle a live stream to broadcast live from the venue. And I will have broadband upload speed from the venue if VERIZON is a carrier out there. And I’ll have tons of weed. So I’m getting messed up, you guys can film, and I’ll just watch
I’ll be the guy doing the "antho dance" during Pick Me Up.
oh man, thisll be fun. and all the freesofree’ers might get to experience the show AS ITS HAPPENING. very cool. man, a bbq sounds tasty to me right now. if we have dinosaur bbq sauce on us, thatll be even betttter. I know the dinosaur audio will be blown out and distorted, i know some people that would sync up good audio with the video prolly if i asked them (the dudes who made the J + the fog middle east 04 DVD that i video’d) so we shall see how things work out. That’s great. I will be bringing my (older) Sony 8mm video camera with me on this, as well as my trusty Olympus and a "new" one, for Lou. This one only holds 30 mins in high quality… but my Olympus holds 2 hrs 12 mins…so If someone brings a laptop to the show , there are no worries about me NOT getting both and I can just dump Lous part onto the hard drive, delete it off the recorder, and have tons of room for Dinosaur.
Im sure that the bbq and after party will be wild so maybe the camera will be shaky
Anyone want to see party videos? hahahahhaha. i personally think that would be classic. but perhaps what happens in vermont, should STAY in vermont."Starlight " wrote:I’m not sure if he looks pedophili-ish, considering anyone could be one (look out dude) but it does look like whoever set him up in this pic put A LOT of make up on him. June 8, 2007 at 2:43 am in reply to: IRVING PLAZA NIGHT 1 SETLIST AND REVIEW. AWESOME COLOR RULE #129853So my analysis, these new songs sound fucking great live. and i loved this show. I’ll be in vermont on sunday and its my birthday. I think im gonna video lous opener set and maybe dinosaur too if i see someone recording good audio.
Awesome. I’ll be in VT too with Anthony. I will audio record it too, but that shouldnt stop you. Also I MIGHT be able to have a video camera on me as well… dont NOT bring one b/c I am, that could fall through.
Should be fun.
So: yes i plan on audio recording BOTH lou and dino… i should have 2 audio recorders on me. video should cover both, hopefully itll come out its an old camera but im sure i can do some post brightening stuff. we can maybe use the recordings we both do (video and audio) and put ou the best recording we have.
