Whenever I see the Army of Darkness or Evil Dead in general it reminds me of the great warmy, tingly feeling inside I used to get whenever I would would summon vast legions of the undead and/or satan from the pits of hell with my good ‘ole copy of the Necronomicon, signed by my good old buddy the crazy "Mad Arab" Abdul Alhazred himself.

But then I realized that I caused enough trouble with the Black Death so many years ago, and what good did it do us, so I turn it off and watch good ‘ole Snoopy instead and that makes me happy.

I really think they should make a live action Where’s Waldo? though that would be ultra spectacular.

Good point. I think the album is anticipated to sell very well- I kind of feel that this is going to be a BIG tour. Big release. Great reviews.

            Wait and see…

The picture of J doing a face off with the bear in Oslo is pretty priceless.

I find it weird that none of the obits/retrospectives I’ve read about Vonnegut mention _Galapagos_, which is the only novel of his I really liked. I even read it twice. None of the real Vonnegut I fans I’ve known like it at all, though, for some reason. It’s a really original book.

He moved to Northampton for a while, right around the time I moved out of there, and was pretty frail-looking even back then. If he was suffering, at least he’s at peace now.

I think that was the first book I read by him. I liked it a lot. Kurt’s books all sort of bleed into one for me- all though his characters are quite memorable, they are incidental to the main character- Kurt’s "voice" I think. He really has a one of a kind voice.

He actually taught a class at Smith… his grandchildren live out in Noho too. I remember I used to go to a cafe in Noho called "Fire and Water" a lot in the past- they used to do poetry nights and the like- and I went there pretty regularly on Wednesday. The ONE time something came up , and I couldnt make it, is the day Kurt evidently was there. I really regret not having been there that day.

I’ve recently discovered his collected works of non-fiction essays, which are just as entertaining (And probably more insightful into Kurt as a person). They are very interesting. One book is actually called "Wampeter’s, Foma & Granfalloons"… which of course is self-explanatory ::)

Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers of all time. Hi Ho

Yeah, it’s an upsetting day. I actually called my brother at 4 am in the morning to tell him about it, waking him up. He understood… he probably liked Vonnegut even moreso then me. :'(

I’ve heard from a reliable source that the DVD/CD deal is still being made, it just isn’t finished yet. Whether it actually is RELEASED is different. I’m hearing this second hand, so you might as well take this as a rumor, though one I concider from a good source.

The CD has been made available at the last Dino jr show in Northampton, and was being sold at the merch booth at the Sebadoh show recently too.

I think they are working on some sort of way to make it available on the web.

There *might* also be a dvd in the works.

it’s not THAT important.. ;)but if you can provide the copies, I’ll buy my tickets for all the shows.

You might want to start looking at whether you should duplicate yourself now. I hear some of the dates will coincide with the other shows- you’d have to choose between dino or sebadoh… sort of defeats the purpose, unless you clone yourself too, really.

i think dino has a lot of stock in Clonotron, the new cloning company, that would explain why they are forcing their die hard fans to clone themselves.

                          yeah, obviously.

so is there gonna be a european tour after dinosaur?

Actually they will be continuing their tour simultaneously while Dinosaur tours. Unbeknowst to the general public Lous dna was extracted and harvested to create Lou2. With 2 Lou’s one can now have Lou touring in both Dino and Sebadoh at the same time.

Word has it that Lou3 is in the works for a Deep Wound reunion.

No word yet on Lou4, Lou5, and Lou6 for Folk Implosion, Trensidoh, and his solo work also.

Cool. I noticed J standing in that area, but didn’t see him after that. The way it was described to me, the guy could have been pretty hurt! It was basically a stage dive… inbetween songs… and the Red Sea parted ways (as i undestand it). Hope the guys OK.. but it was a pretty classic move. Memorable. Even if I was there, and didn’t see it. Lou seemed to think it was funny, from my POV.
