And word up to your grandmother.True, all roads lead to Maine.
Oh, and I told her girl said ‘word up’. She had no idea what i was talking about.
Does anyone know anything about that new bittorrent site, oink, something or other? It’s an invite only, and VERY hard to get invited. A friend of mine was invited and says that there are LOADS of dinosaur jr shows on there… but I have no idea WHAT shows are actually on there. I’m sure its the same as whats on freesofree, but i have no idea. Hes not a fan, but his roomate is. Ill have to find out.
Speaking of phones, b/c of the new laws concerning wiretapping without a warrant, etc… my grandmother has an excellent habit of speaking to "Mr. Bush" and asking how his day was, before having any sort of conversation with me. It’s the ‘polite thing to do’ she says. She will occasionally say hello to "Mr Cheney’ as well.

What King movie is that from?
Not a movie yet, it was from his 2nd to last book. It will be a movie soon though, by the guy who directed Hostel. It’s called CELL by the way. It actually takes place in Boston mostly. Not in Maine? Theres a first!
"deepsIush " wrote:I’m just jealous man. I don’t have enough of a life to need a cell phone, although I swear my car has acted like one on occasions. It’s the cool thing to have for most people I think, a cell phone. I watched a show called Modern Marvels today and it was about phones. There’s something like 200 million cell phone users. I think I got that quote right, had to post false information. It seems like alot. There’s a whole industry devoted to refurbishing old cell phones. I used a Tough Talker back in the late 90’s a few times, and a friend of mine was very into his "Brick" cell phone around the same time. You know, the HUGE first one from the 80’s. I think he liked it for the novelty value. Interestingly, there is some debate whether or not a man invented the telephone. A woman had the patent before, but the patent official was bribed by the Alexander Graham Bell company for 200 dollars to change the order in which they were patented. Her name was Gray.I think it’s ok if people wanna use the phone out in public, on the bus or wherever. I don’t know why the woman on the bus would flip out at you like that. I had a right since we were in a movie theatre and it was pretty annoying. I didn’t do it to be mean to the guy, I did it to be funny.
It just seems incredibly shocking that this many people have lives and friends to call.
Eh, if we’ve learned anything from a Stephen King novel, it’s this:
Cell phones will be the death of us. Bring on the flesh eating zombies, bitch!
"deepsIush " wrote:People who are always playing with their cell phones, I don’t get it. I was at the theatre in the back row and this guy and his girlfriend came to sit by me. They left a buffer in the middle, but still. He had his cell phone out continuousaly checking it and then it started making alot of noise. The two girls in front of me were conversing back and forth about it, so I decided to stand up and do something. I stood up and looked him straight in the eye. Immediately he was like a deer in headlights. I took my empty cup of ice and started shaking it in his face and saying Do You Want Some Ice Man! To Make Noise With! He said naw uunt uh, and I did not hear a peep for the rest of the movie or see any of his lights flashing. After the show, the two girls were waiting outside and they waited til I came by to start walking. They started walking then talking, saying "I know that was annoying" and they told me thank you for getting him quiet and that is made them crack up. I looked at one of em and said You’re welcome.Oh yeah, and there’s these people who knew me and my parents were so bad that I’d live at home forever. Well, they built me a house so I could escape! It’s quite an insult when people prepared and knew that I would be living home at 30. Do the best I can!
Yeah right.
I use my cell phone a lot, but not for calls/texts. I have my calender in there, and daily reminders- so I have to regularly update it, etc. But I would NEVER do it DURING A MOVIE, or WHILE IN LINE or even AT THE CHECKOUT. I mean… seriously.
I will do it on the bus though, I have no problem with that, though I won’t actually speak on the phone while on the bus, unless it’s actually an emergency, etc. The one time I used the phone on the local bus, my sister called (I hadnt heard from her in over 1 and 1/2 months, and there was reason to be concerned that she was OK, plus I had had a major car accident in the meantime, so she was obviously concerned about me). I answered the phone, and proceeded to tell her that I was OK (quietily), that the car was totalled, was in a lot of pain, etc. BUT, the woman half a bus in front of me starting SCREAMING get off the f**%ing phone I DONT CARE IF YOU ALMOST F*&cking DIED get off the phone!’ (pretty much to that effect, including the swearing).
Mind you, it was day time- no one sleeps on that bus- and I was being ultra QUIET. She was screaming her heart out. Im sure the only person bothered by me was her (a lot of people use the cell on that bus), but Im fairly certain everyone was bothered by HER.
Then again, a lot of crazies take this bus. As you’ve read from me before.
This thread could go on forever.
Yesterday I took a bus from Amherst to Northampton (no car). A guy got on the bus at one stop and sat next to me, smelling like he hadn’t taken a shower in months. He proceeded to talk, for the next 20-25 mins… about everything on his mind- from the U.N. to D.C’s radio transmitted articifical intelligence ‘robot thinking’ implants, to Vietnam, do his little accident years ago. Very paranoid szhizophrenic. A girl sitting on the bus had her kid with her, the kid began to cry half way through.
Did I mention that the guy who plasters the town with papers talking about how Satan lives in town, and is a pedofile, was also on that bus. No?
Best trip ever.
I had a headache *before* I got on that bus. After? Sheesh.
Crazy. I am loving this band right now. I wonder if anyone recorded the NY shows? What I’d *really* like to see is the Ireland shows recorded. Especially Galway. That’s so cool they are playing Galway. It’s such an amazing place.
… I’d totally record every show for freesofree if I went on tour with them. ‘bands professional recorder’ thatd be my title… hold on, someones at the door. it’s reality.

really… it is rather neat when you think about it. 100 years from now… people can hear the live progression of the band over the years. in terms of preserving rock/music history, i think that is amazing.
glad you were all able get to hear these shows… the album will drop soon enough… its a nice teaser hearing these new songs. The shows were pretty good, very good energy. loved that lou death metal song in boston… haha. great.
anthony, how was nyc?
"anthony " wrote:I’ll upload this show in NY at the hotel, maybe 5pm or so.Whoa… Anthony. Are you seeing a NY show or two? Dont tell me your recording one?
This show is also uploaded. Expect it on freesofree soon…
Hey…
The show was uploaded as of 4:30 pm EST. It should be on in the next few hours, I’m sure. As for tonights show… I’ll be going to that too. So… I expect to be able to upload that show sometime in the early hours, though I won’t blame Anthony for wanting to sleep. I’d expect that one Friday…
Would two shows in 24 hours be too much? heh.
Enjoy.
