here’s an interesting read. talks about how indie labels are thriving despite all the RIAA’s poo-pooing.
i like the polamalu pick, the ‘lers secondary is in serious need of help, just hoping he can contribute right out of the gates. interesting that the bears bicked up grossman, i think he has alot of potential, training camp should be interesting for yinz bears fans, after all, jim miller beat out kordell for starting job while here in the ‘burgh….

hey LDD, the lips are going to be here in the ‘burgh next sunday (4/27)….i’m psyched. and as a funny coincidence, both sonic youth and wilco (not to mention a bunch of other good acts) are playing for free this year at the arts festival, best lineup they’ve had at the arts fest. in years……
son volt – picking up the signal
…..best of luck with the kordell thing, VF. i really never disliked the guy..(his abilities, anyway) as a QB. but he seems way too easily distracted by the media and stuff. the guy has the skillz, he’s just got to go out and play. i’m sure the chicago media will be all over him after his first mistake (chicago and pittsburgh being such hardcore football towns)…..he’s just gotta tune that shit out. and i’m still not sold on tommy maddox being the answer here in the ‘burgh.
lol, a friend of mine was a city councilman in boone. he loved it there. although he’s a rootsy music die-hard and loves the appalachian stuff………
"polyhedron origami for beginners" by miyuki kawamura. really cool, fun book. i’ve made quite a few origami animals before, but this is some cool shit.

george clinton and the p-funk all stars: club laga, pittsburgh, PA 3/18.
all i can say is holy funkin’ shit. i’ve seen these guys a few times now, and this show was one of the best yet (although no bootsy). were supposed to hit the stage at 9:00, but didn’t until almost 11. several doobies and iron city’s later, i was in full funk mode. the band played until just about 2am, my legs were like fucking rubber by then. i may need to go see the chiropractor after that one

i’m feelin’ yer pain, bears fans. kordell signs……..
wilco – summer teeth
i just started "Longitude" by Dava Sobel, the same woman who wrote ‘Galileo’s Daughter’. good so far, but i’m not that far into it.
thanks anthony

yeah SG, both should be fun gigs. i didn’t even know king kong were still intact until a friend dropped me an e-mail about the gig. and lol, i thought the linkster was dead.
