Thank you for the insight, Flying Cloud–the actual knife was quite big and, yes, this is what made it eerie. I think I will write next about the sectioned doll parts and little spooky things which adorned some of the neighbor’s lawns near my apartment, as I was walking out to see the Bright EyesArab Strap show one night –never mind what THAT did to my collective unconscious… :?

            Pan, pan, pan
            Tin muffins
            Come out tanned
            Blink, roast
            Apple jelly cinnamon
            Foster delicate toast
            In a min.
            What a sin!
            Tin, tin, tin
            Muffins been! 8)

                Still Life
                The bananas are spotted
                Like leopards
                Drawn out after
                Debating their lunch
                The apples, ripe
                Rest next to them

                  coded or loaded???

                  first not the latter
                  too bright for the batter
                  not to swing just unwind
                  without seeds must be kind
                  follow my daze
                  hoping for gaze
                  doughnuts can’t afford
                  two for a sword
                  moved by hood
                  still no good

                    clouded or crowded?

I’d have the answer if the question reached my head.
You see it’s still in bed.
Tread from the shoes that carried me through the grooves may be lost but cost per wear equals all those sequels since hollywood hits the coda more than soda in a case like it’s a repeat race.

So I’ll stumble through this mumble.
                    Maybe submit shouldn’t be hit?
Care if I dare to share, be where?
Dishes in the sink, only a minor kink.

                    Benched by myself.
                    Crawl from the shelf?
Been there before, gave up still sore.
Not this time, must make dime(s).

                      lot errie

                      numbers
                      days
                      numbers
                      daze
                      numbers
daisy is crazy with the idea of riches to fill her briches
rose knows not to lose her nose for numbers
slumber beats but barely buys sheets
                      another dollar for another day

                        ode to corrective vision

I dig the blurriness of my naked eyes
but the sharpness seen through my glasses is nice.
Why must craftmanship be so suspect?
I want never to buy new specs, yet mine have broken.
I have seen things I’ll never be able to write
through the lense that shares my scares.
Put the television on my lap?
See the other side of the tap?
                        choices make me fold

I just wanted to point out that my boyfriend calls me ‘rose’ and I have frequently opted not to have plastic surgery on my large nose despite years of childhood ridicule.

thank you. your writing is lovely, as always.
