Bloody Amazon, they haven’t even been dispatched 2 days later!May 17, 2006 at 12:17 pm #116632I ordered mine from that link to Plan9’s web site posted far upthread. I am hopeful something will come in today’s mail.
May 17, 2006 at 12:27 pm #116633I ordered from the local (Seattle) BuyMusicHere affiliate. They emailed me last week to let me know they would ship the CD’s on the 16th. So hopefully when I get home from work I’ll have presents.
May 17, 2006 at 7:56 pm #116634Got mine today from CDUniverse — they sound really good, a little fuller in the bass dept and crisper all around. Thumb in particular really shows the difference remastering can make, and even though I had all the bonus tracks except for one (Hide), they round out the albums nicely. In the Where You Been booklet J says he hopes to be able to release a complete Dino video collection — hopefully someone’s listening.
May 17, 2006 at 9:38 pm #116635Yep I got mine today too. They sound great, definately fuller not only in the bass, but the drums on greenmind sound insane! I really like the CBGB CD too, J seems to talk quite a bit in between the songs which is kind of a rarity these days. All in all I’m very happy with the reissues.
May 18, 2006 at 12:24 pm #116636TONAS,
Is that not the same play list as from Martin and Me
?bab
May 18, 2006 at 12:29 pm #116637It’s a totally different show, though alot of the songs are the same it’s still well worth it. J’s banter between songs is great.
Martin & Me: CBGB’s
1. Thumb 1. What else is new
2. What Else Is New 2. Thumb
3. Get Me 3. Keeblin
4. Blowin It 4. Not you again
5. Repulsion 5. Flying Cloud
6. Goin Home 6. Every mothers son
7. The Boy With The Thorn In His Side 7. Not the same
8. Not You Again 8. Throw down
9. On The Run 9. Get me
10. Keeblin 10. Quest
11. Flying Cloud 11. On the run
12. Anticipation 12. Repulsion
13. Drawerings
14. Every Mother’s SonMay 20, 2006 at 5:31 pm #116638Got mine today. Green Mind sounds amazing! It’s so great to finally have this album sound the way it should have. And I got a good laugh when I pulled the CD out and saw J having a cup of Joe.
CBGB is very cool. I think it’s better than Martin & Me… I never liked that M&M was chopped together instead of being a complete show. And I was always disappointed that M&M didnt have Not the Same on it.
I almost didn’t bother getting Where You Been because I didn’t think the original needed to be remastered… sounded damn good the way it was. Glad I picked it up, though, because there’s all kinds of tasty little guitar sounds hidden in there that I never heard before. Well worth it. And the Peel version of Hide is cool too, as is the live What Else Is New.

Same here. I need that CBGB CD!
May 22, 2006 at 10:42 am #116641got em all… very happy with the outcome. like the bonus tracks better than the stuff from the first three re-issues, maybe cause its more stuff ive only had on 7 inch/10 inch vinyl and never heard on a cd.
but its fucking great. everythings loud and amazing.
cbgbs cd is great too. j is certainly in rare form.
May 22, 2006 at 11:59 am #116642Still haven’t gotten mine from Plan9. I emailed the customer service address and a guy (presumably) named Buzz emailed back this AM and said it was sent out priority mail and should have arrived by now. He said give it another couple days and then email back. I’d say anybody who is waiting on Plan9 should email them (the address is in the confirmation email) and ask what gives. Hopefully we’re all not getting scammed.
May 22, 2006 at 12:03 pm #116643Damn that sucks! I ordered mine from easy street records, the local (seattle) buymusichere affiliate. My CD’s came the next day. Is there a way they can track your priority mail? You should have them by now Priority takes 3 days to most anywhere in the continental US.
May 22, 2006 at 12:46 pm #116644I don’t know about tracking, I’ll have to look into that. I do know that a lot of last week was messed up because of the rain and flooding around here, so maybe that had an effect on delivery. I’m willing to give ’em another couple days before I go from bummed to irritated.
