You want some fishtank fun? Go get some paku’s, snakeheads and pink convicts and put them all together with a dozen gold-fish <img> <img> <img>
Kurteous,
Truly, congratulations on both your graduation and subsequent happiness in work and social life. Hope life continues to flourish for you. I really like your descriptions of pastoral scenery. Enjoy.
your left, you’re right, now get on down
Thanks for the review, Shade. Wow, the California reviews have made me long for another visit there. Last time I wasin the state was over 10 years ago and not for fun.
I have had this info for awhile, but I didn’t get the impression anyone would give a hoot about it . On the "Grace of My Heart" soundtrack, Joni Mitchell had allowed the song "Man from Mars" to be used before it was released on her then-forthcoming album, "Taming the Tiger". In the movie, someone else who I forget sings the song, as does someone else on most of the soundtrack releases. However, a production goof was made and Joni’s voice appeared on several (hundred?) of the first releases to the public.
The folks over at The Joni Mitchell Discussion List would probably give up some dough for it or it might be interesting to know you have a collector’s item on your hands.

Damn, only one vote for rasslin’?
Yeah, I don’t like the WWE monopoly either but that seems to be the only game in town for now.
Regional action used to be the best, with three major federations and stars that would tour and rotate around a bit. Not much flavor anymore. I did like the ECW hardcore gigs a few years back, but it looks like that type of action is fading away as well.
Never did get to see Crusher live, but I did see Dick the Bruiser in a cage match before he died. Think he might have been in his 60’s. The old man was not much for autographs, but he still did his thing.I think the Freakscene Bunkhouse Lumberjack Strap Match Battle Royal is coming soon! <img>
¡SLEATER-KINNEY!

One Beat will be in stores August 20th, 2002, earlier through KRS
mailorder. There will be a limited edition CD package, which is the
One Beat CD + an attached two song single of songs not on the album.
This is limited to 25,000. The VINYL edition comes with a 7" single
of the two non-album songs and a big awesome poster. This is limited
to 5,000 copies. We’ve come across fan-remixed version of The Swimmer from AHOTBO. It
was created by Gerry from Check This Out (http://ctomag.com/”>http://ctomag.com/), who
calls it :
"The Swimmer – The Grooveblaster Underwater Remix" (mp3 + real audio)

Sorry, no word on when to begin ordering yet. I will post it… after I order mine, of course <img>Happy birthday. Hope you can get out to some good shows this summer as well.
Tom
The new release is called "One Beat" and will be released 8/20/02 on Kill Rock Stars.
Discovery? I have my own compass. Introspectively speaking, of course.
Thanks again Ton!!

Hi there everybody,
Thank you all for joining my list and ordering from my site. The list
keeps growing and growing. There haven’t been a lot of changes to my
site but I’ve added a new store that accepts credit cards finally. So
busy lately, lets see.The Knitters had a great time on the road. We
played L.A., San
Francisco, Portland, Seattle and San Diego. It was nice to get back
together with the other Knitters and we were as corny as ever. Throw
Rag opened most of the shows and they were fun. We did have a glitch
here and there. Our van was broken into in Portland and we lost some
things but thanks to friends there our merchandise was found and
returned. Thank you, thank you. It didn’t phase us much though. We had a
great time in Portland that night. My new band Original Sinners, are gearing up for our tour this summer.
Our record comes out June 25th and we’re very excited. Nitro Records
has been so supportive and good to the band. They’ve released another
MP3, "Bringin Me Down" from the record on their website. So there are
two songs now to listen to. You can download them at
http://www.nitrorecords.com/originalsinners.htmlX and Original Sinners will both be playing all three Hootenanny’s this
year. We’ve done shows together before but not for a while. I just love
Hootenanny. My favorite year was with X and we got to play with Buck
Owens and the Cramps.Something weird: X is getting a cement square in
front of Guitar Center
on Sunset. The Hollywood Rock Walk, I think it’s called. That’ll be on
June 25th. I don’t know if I get to step in the cement with tiny
stiletto heels or not, I think we just sign our names.I’m doing a reading
this Saturday in Venice at Beyond Baroque. Keith
Morris and Iris Berry will also be reading.Dates:

and postcards and all. I do really appreciate it.Yours truly,
ExeneP.S.,
I did get her new book "a Beer on Every Page".
I like it a lot. There is a whole lot of the same art damage from X and also some great poetry inside. If you order any of her items, she signs them personally before sending them out. This there might be a time drag, but it is worth it.Let the blue light special shine its everlovin bankrupt light on me.
Proctologists of the Free World… Unite!!!!
Yeah, Staingrrl, that pairing is odd, philosophically, yet Al was such the collaborator. Wish he would hook us up with some more RevCo. He also got together with Jello Biafra for the Power of Lard album by Lard.
Here is an odd interview setup I found last night:
world.conk.com.world/vreject/interviews.html
In it you have Ian Mckaye, Penelope Houston from the Avengers, Exene Cervenka, and Al Quint from the original Boston hardcore scene (any info tying to J would be nice) all discussing questions about punk rock as this or that. Very well done, I’d say. The link may need cut and paste to work, if still nothing, lemme know.<small>[ 06-02-2002, 05:49 AM: Message edited by: Half-Man ]</small>
Fruit Stripes are not part of or all of the four basic food groups.
The Bomb– Torch Songs
New band formed by ex Naked Raygun singer Jeff Pezzati. Straight-ahead punkpop. Like raygun, but with some piano at times, singalong stuff, but all the fast drum fills and power chords of elder times. Fresh. The Matics– Ignition
More straight ahead melodic punk songs about love and the lack of it.Both of the above slabs can be found at http://www.jettsionmusic.com. Steve Albini pureed both releases. (FYI: Pezatti was also a member of Big Black at one time, Salami-nae <img> )
Blake Babies– Earwig
My first album of theirs. How can one not like this band? Saw their newest at the same store, probably will get it 2mrw. Might copout and change my tag to Steamie Gregg.Oh yeah… lucked into the album called "In Session"
when I found the Blake Babies.<img>
