Thanks for posting this, Malc.
I think it is a good historical document about this whole thing. I have to admit, I am unfamiliar with most of these bands. The dynamic of expression is obviously the main difference between bands classified under "emo" or other types of punk. I didn’t know there were some bands who get into the whole weepy thing. It is funny that they do, as I am used to seeing a lot of evangelical musicians break down like that. More coincidental is that the local scene here, which includes me boyz Clark (http://www.clarkclarkclark.com) from South Bend, The Rutabega, Triple F, regularly play with Chrisitan bands like Cape Renewal, and Don’t Shoot, I’m With God. Each band seems completely accepting of one another and respectful of each others beliefs or lack of them. I think your link added something to my understanding for why such coexistence can work out.I wish you a speedy recovery, J.

I am with Rosa as well. Perhaps some comparison model is needed here. I hope you don’t get the impression that sanctity and personal harmony with those around you, in love, lust or friendship, will be all it can be with the addition of the social "lubricants".
I do not regret my lessons, though. What I figured was an awakening became narcotic, captivating, and bound. Consequence itself proved to be the key needed to free myself from the weight of my misconceptions. I never had any idea that what I did was wrong, or out of the ordinary. Everyone I knew did these things, yet no one I knew was really happy with how they felt about themselves or where their life was going. Determination to find that path of comfort and wisdom led me to many extremes, all useful in their own baggage-carrying ways. I cannot sat that I would have truly been happier or satisfied if I had abstained during your age. I didn’t so no regrets. However, you may find the chance to see for yourself differences in emotional control, tolerance of the world that must be stopped at times, and achievements, versus the dream of these things, along with the misery abuses can bring.
Live and let live,
Tom

White Castle rocks the mothership!!!! I am right in the antimatter zone for them right now, with metro hubs 100 mi. east and west having them and poor tom going without. In case you guys do not know, WC’s serve 3 inch by 3 inch square burgers for @ 40 cents apiece. Key is buying them by the dozen or so. Onion Rings are good, fries ok. Nickname for these burgers is "sliders". I will only say they eat smooth and etc. <img>
P.S. Hey Bucked Up, I am right now beginning "The Dead" by James Joyce. We had Araby scheduled for lit class, but it was lifted last min. Both are in the compilation called "Dubliners" for those who are interested.

I agree, the Lions were pretty pimp, especially J. Stewart, who they rode like a horse that carries the wagon. Morningwheg (sp) needs to set the peacepipe down.
Yes thanks
