      very interesting find

about one year ago, we have heard about Tosh tribute album plans with J involved, but then it looked like it never happened…

here’s the topic we had about it: j on a peter tosh tribute album ?

…so, one could say, the J song on there is… very rare…

I actually didn’t buy tickets, yet, but May is full with great shows here in Hamburg, think I’ll try to go to as many as possible:

May 3: Presidents Of The USA, Logo
          May 5: Rufus Wainwright, Grünspan
          May 10: Kristofer Aström, Logo
May 12: Hot Hot Heat, Grünspan
          May 15: Lou Barlow, Weltbühne
          May 18: Arcade Fire, Knust
          May 19: Kills, KdW
May 24: Soundtrack of our Lifes, Knust
          May 29: Go-Betweens, Fabrik

hey attackjürgen, best you start with your researches in the following part of FreakScene.net:

            Dinosaur/J Reviews & Old Interviews/Articles

there are quite a bunch of older interviews. But of course, in the time you’re interested in, there wasn’t much internet activity, and not everything from older mags has been put up online. so quite much material has been lost, I’m afraid.

of course everyone here would find it lovely, if the one or other older magazine article or interview from way back would show up [hint, hint] :D

is it a quote from somewhere or was it your idea?

cool plan!! things have changed a lot, since the topic has been started. we should collect a totally new pile of questions now. I’ll think of some :)

I heard the band Alaska wants in on some of the shows. 2 of them were in Sebadoh at some point.

I’ve seen Alaska! opening for the New Folk Implosion (Lou Barlow’s former band) in 2003, and after Alaska’s set, two members turned out to be also members of NFI (Imaad Wasif and Russell Pollard) :)
I liked Alaska’s set, it was full of energy and the songs were fine.
