…i was at this show and i loved it. It was my fourth Dinosaur Jr. Show and third reunion show. Was the setlist perfect, no? but hey, i’d listen to J play nursey rhymes in an igloo as long as he’s plugged in and turned up loud. And this band is so perfect together. No one playes the bass as hard as Lou, that’s just the way it is in bassland. Sure there are guitar players that play hard but they aren’t J, he is the loud voice of guitar, and Murph holds it all down with a fire rarely scene these days. Together it is so fun it almost hurts cause you know it won’t last. Not even meaning the long term whatever but that the set will never be long enough, good moments in life are so hard to find and when you do it is sad when they end but seeing Dinosuar Jr. was so good and right. I was actually fired up to here some of the post Lou hits. I’m guessing they are playing them to apease the evil fans shouting feel the pain at every show, but hearing feel the pain made me smile, not as much as hearing Out There, which i heard the first time i heard J play ever, my first Dinosaur Jr. show lollapalooza 93, His guitar wielding hooked me for life that day and that pittsburgh show last tuesday just solidified that moment. The comedy was the annoying fan next to me screaming for Sludgefeast, comedy being an annoying fan that actually knows the old material, i just wanted to shake this kid and be like there is a setlist prepared buddy if they play it they play it but you are only making them mad, alas they played Sludefeast and screaming fan boy tried to start a mosh pit. This occured a few times most successfullly during feel the pain. The personal comedy is that i was all about moshing back in 93, it was more moving together with the music at that time. Shortly after that show moshing morphed permanetly into an opportunity to try to inflict pointless pain on strangers. I danced at the show but it was more like rocking out in my own personal space. I love dancing it is fun, it is the purest exclaimation of joy out there, live music makes more sense than anything and i can’t wait to goto my next show, thank you Dinosaur Jr. for coming my way…
right in time with wordless rhyme,
wait that’s fate first at last gate
guessing gross but one forty five
means more made live by a line, fine.first i must address another development,
weight where is the clear cut winner
when the toast seems thinner worst
four wear while others gather gear, green.great the late mate might matter,
most scatter so called ghost batter
up unless pinch hit for mere maddness
coast patterns weather storms shine, chaos.thime twice as strong has come along,
allow twelve minutes until brown
around the edges enough looking over
hedges held back by winters attack, snow.happy birthday, rock out in your own way!
…still haven’t bought my ticket but i’d bet likeaghost will be in attendance.

wassn’t last night but i saw the Avett Brothers this past saturday, it was unbelieveable. I talked these guys up to my little sister for months leading up to the show, so much that i was worried they would never live up, half way through she grabs my shoulder and announces how this isn’t fair, "no band should be allowed to be this good", was her quote. They achieve a level of intensity unexplainable live. To say they bring it is an understatement. Sadly their albums can’t compare, yes they are a bluegrass band, which i’m sure isn’t very appealing to anyone hear, but i never thought i’d be into that style of music either, then i accidently caught their set at a festivel two years ago and now i’m a believer…
…Crash, you know maybe this is a case of people builing up a movie too much, and not that i disliked it, but blown away i wasn’t and that is what you expect from a best picture winner, oh well, i like that movies are made to address the issue of racism, this is a serious problem ingrained in society and although to me an easy cure is avalible, love everyone reguardless, no answer will ever come because we are by nature selfish and mean, especially on bad days and the older you get the more bad days jsut become days…
…Seahawks fans shouldn’t be sad, pittsburgh is a tough place to play, and the Stillers were coming off a lose which meant they were so fired up they would have beat anyone despite being without many their biggest stars. It’s only one game so we move on, i have no scouting report on this week’s match-up, but i hear bye week looks good on paper but is a mere push over in truth. All jokes aside, it’s nice to be 4-1 with a week to heal up and get ready for the broncos who don’t look to hot but they have a week off too so we’ll see, Denver is a tough place to play as well so scared i’ll be next week. A note of resurgance as da Bears seem to have risen from the ashes and posted a much needed win last night in green bay. Any win is something to be proud of in this league and there is still plenty of season left to make a move in the jv conference known as the nfc…
Happy birthday though late i’d guess but be well and all that jazz

…Stillers show anything is possible once again, maybe it was Hines not playing, or Troy getting hurt and not finishing, or former coaches on the other side, or maybe Ben refusing to say high to old coaches even though everyone else did, or maybe…well excuses are for losers and the Stillers are winners, smart winners that know you can’t win them all so lose one deep in the desert and let a wekk go by without any hype, there are enough questions in san diego and chicago to keep the media off the burgh, speaking of questions, How’s the beach Joey?, so now what becomes of the stillers? I fear for Seatle, having to come across the country to play a mad as hell fired up team that needs a win to reestablish itself, bring it if you can but don’t feel bad if it isn’t enough…
…Lord of War. Nic Cage is at it again, voice overing his way through a sort of bio type pic. Sure it’s blow plus catch me if you can, but its about selling guns, so that’s new right? Oh well i watched the darn thing and was entertained, and not just becasue i like bad movies, i like all movies that make me glad i watched them, the trouble is finding time and not wasting time, i didn’t think i wasted my time with this one, so if you can stand formulayic action thrillers with some heart and lots of violence but not too much of anything, then check this one out…
…John Tucker Must Die, yes i have a guilty pleasure knowns as cheesy high school movies, maybe i long for daze gone by but i had no intention of watching this till my little sister told me it was worth a view, she likes bad movies to and this is a bad movie but it was fun(ny) if you like bad teen comedies, but if you like serious movies and hate wasting your time please stay away, but if you like horrid comedies that make you laugh at how bad they are then party on regression lives while hollywood gives reason after reason to turn away…
Stillers still good. Sadly the nfl breaks down like this, Stillers and pats, then everyone else. The Stillers will play two meaningful games this year, pats in regular season, pats in playoffs. The regular season one will be for homefield in the playoff one and the playoff won will be for all the marbles, no offense nfc but that’s the way it is, don’t believe me, invent a time machine and fast forward, trust me it all checks out…
