The only thing I don’t like about portable cd players are the stupid cases they make for them. I’m not going to entrust my valukble music to a supethin plastic sleeve in a soft nylon case. But I suppose you’ve heard enough bitching from me.
Randy Jane, you ever tried any of the real tube overdrives?
You know, sometimes I think the shrink wrap is stronger than the jewelbox. . .The only problem with the cardboard sleeves are that they’re irreplacible, once they break, you aren’t going to replace them.
How could I forget
Pearl Jam-"Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town"
Primitive Radio Gods-Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Change in My hand
Aerosmith-Falling in Love (Is hard on the knees)
Cake-Sheep go to Heaven
Hey neat fady buttons
I don’t understand why anybody prefers vinyl.
Hey Randi Jane, Good to see you out of the Guitar room!
I think I liked it better as one word
Actually, this reminds me of one of my friends who was going to try out the brand new U of I at Springfield. She said the entire school consisted of three buildings connected by tunnels, you could go an entire day without once stepping outside! Kinda like those old popular science magazines showing future colonies on Venus. This actually was a prime consideration in her not going there.
Yeah, ATR and Pilos Puntos!
. . . WaitasecNo Raised fist??
howabout Meshuggah? or are they Norwegen?
Ah, very much like our own Camelot, Wherehouse music, tower records, Sam Goody. I just shop in pawn shops and used record stores. . . One mans trash is another mans treasure.
Man! If I had to put up a post every time I changed my name. . .
1) where the fuck is HMV anyway, this record store I have never heard of
2) why do record stores even bother with labeling metal, punk, alt., pop/rock seperately anyway, I never know what group a given cd will fall under.
3) Ben Folds sounds nothing like elton john, although I like them both. And we don’t know that they will be influential(I for one think very little of prodigy), though the potential is there. Iwas mearly pointing out a fact, and showing that there is life at the end of the tunnel.
I would like to say that the most influential bands are usually the ones that don’t sell very well. i/e Television, Velvet underground.
So, we can expect the future influential bands to be: Atari Teenage Riot, Spacemen 3, Prodigy, Modest Mouse, and maybe Ben folds, Pixies, and Dinosaur Jr.
