Yeah, Nu metal freaks are a problem at any store, they seem most likely to turn on an amp at full volume (with really bad distortion) and play like they expect a record producer/a&R man to walk in at any minute. hahaha, if you don’t laff, you’ll cry.

These days, most of us dont WANT to go to collage, it just is pretty much the only choice yer given

quote:
I would rather stay where the KEGS are and bongs and Kinky SEX bud.

Sadly, I’m living at home, no bongs or kinky sex there.
But I’m better off than this one poor chap at work, going off to collage without ever having seen ANIMAL HOUSE, makes me want to cry.
Most overrated album of the 90’s, Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morrisette
Re: Smashing Pumpkins
Billy Corgan still had his hair when Mellon Collie was Released.
But then again, as King Edward said: if the band doesn’t agree to do the commercial, the company can always make a new version, and the band doesn’t see any money.
My favorite commercial use: Sting’s desert rose in the Jaguar Commercial.
Um. . . where is Jaco Pastorius, Charles Mingus, Victor Wooten, Bootsy Collins, C’mon! wheres the Jazz and REAL Funk.
Btw, one of my favorite basses is a bottom of the line Ibenhad GIO Soundgear. It actually ranks up with my Ricky
You know, there are some Twins going for around $600/700.
And I’ve heard many good things about the recent Fender Hot Rod amps.
I don’t personally know what J has against Jaguars. I have an older Guitar World interview with him (and Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine!) where he admires their looks, but mentions his dislike of the shorter Jaguar scale. Jaguars really aren’t commonly held in the same regard as Jazzmasters on the vintage market. But then, If people/bands like J, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, etc. hadn’t started playing them in the late 80’s/early 90’s (and many of those bands played them only because they were cheap), Jaguars, Jazzmasters, and (especially) mustangs wouldn’t be nearly as popular today.
What were we talking about again?
A friend of mine has one, and he likes it. If you want a real Les Paul tone, you should probably buy one of the set neck models. basically those are built the same way as the US models (of course they aren’t IDENTICAL, but they do have the same woods)
Um. . . offhand I’d say that Fender, Gibson, and PRS are in a sligtly different camp from Ibenhad. But seriously, if an instrument makes you happy, go for it. Typically, however, you can get a better deal buying used gear, plus used gear comes "broken in" for you. But always, ALWAYS, play a guitar before you buy it.
If you actually care, J hates humbuckers. Not saying you should, but somebody else is virtually guarranteed to say it.
Oddly enough, I can’t get into coffee, it always tastes like dirt to me. I mostly drink tea and soda, lots of soda
