I love this one by R. M. Rilke…
You who never arrived
You who never arrived
in my arms, Beloved, who were lost
from the start,
I don’t even know what songs
would please you. I have given up trying
to recognize you in the surging wave of the next
moment. All the immense
images in me- the far-off, deeply-felt landscape,
cities, towers, and bridges, and unsuspected
turns in the path,
and those powerful lands that were once
pulsing with the life of the gods-
all rise within me to mean
you, who forever elude me.You, Beloved, who are all
the gardens I have ever gazed at,
longing. An open window
in a country house-, and you almost
stepped out, pensive, to meet me.
Streets that I chanced upon,-
you had just walked down them and vanished.
And sometimes, in a shop, the mirrors
were still dizzy with your presence and, startled,
gave back my too-sudden image. Who knows?
perhaps the same bird echoed through both of us
yesterday, seperate, in the evening…Well I don’t really care much about this championship anymore, but I’m hoping for Portugal – Greece may be a lovely country but their team plays boring defensive football…
"Nurse" sounds promising

Here’s what that swedish site says:
Being the vital part of the swedish garage rock culture that The Copters are, they have during their career had time to record a considerable number of b-sides, split singles and exclusive songs for collection and tribute albums. Far from everything could be squeezed into the "Cream of the crap" collection from two years ago so here is another one, with old as well as new stuff. Perhaps not brilliant all the way through but most entertaining. In particular one is struck by the fact that the Hellacopters have always had a very Hellacopters sound, whether they played their own songs or covers on such widely diverse acts such as Love, Kiss, Dead Boys and Nomads.
hmmm in that acoustic version I’m now hearing "… priest the doubt in everyone" :slap:
SISTER Sledge – We Are Family

ShakeSPEARe’s Sister – You’re History

Would be so sweet if LISA – LISA (NASA), LISA (ESA) – gets launched on time (2012) and is successful.
Echo & the BunnyMEN – The Killing Moon
Soft BOYs – I Wanna Destroy You
Way to go with that magic finger SG

My waffle iron being broken. Thanks, this inspired me to dust off my waffle iron and make some yummie waffles

That being said, I agree with CG; the snow/winter is what bugs me the most now. Sure snow can be fun but enough of it already

From that (pretty cool) site:
Quote:Yes, they have decided which tunes they are doing. For the most part, they’ll be doing Pixies’ tunes. As for new songs, there’s a Latvian lullaby, a Czech dirge and a Bulgarian ballad.
DEATh Cab For Cutie – A Movie Script Ending
In the 80s I used to watch the Aussie soap opera Neighbours, with a certain Kylie Minogue playing the part of Charlene. It wasn’t just a case of being bored and having nothing better to do. I really liked it
