As they are names who has allways fascinated me deeply.Hampus is really used as a name? You know any Hampuses?
Urban or Göte – No way. If you are so fascinated by those names, get a pair of hamsters or something and call them that. Or maybe that social experiment is too cruel for any mammals.
Linus is not directly out of the question… but probably not
I did cook lunch for my family (two women) on that day, not a nine course one but oh well…
I was clueless as well about the day, but why should I feel bad about it? As far as I can remember, nobody ever remembered to treat me in a very special way on 19th November:

"tonas" wrote:Congrats Maxini thats wonderful news. Is this your first child? Our littlest one just turned 3 on Valentines day. It was kind of sad for my wife and I to realize that there wouldn’t be anymore little ones until the grandkids come, which hopefully is still a ways away. Our oldest just turned 13 last December; I’ve already begun an ongoing inventory of lotion and paper towels…………
Thanks man
Yes, it’s my/our first child, but since it’s such a cool thing to be a daddy (which you know all about, obviously) I think we need to get her a little brother or sister later on.Woa, this board has really taken off!

Yikes Robert, sounds like you had quite the experience, but getting stabbed – twice! – is something I could do without

I think only in Norway you could be living like that for two years and then go straight to a well paid consultant job

Yes, I’m still married, happily, and now with a daughter who will soon turn six months old

Oh and I’m sure I’m not the only one who missed ya. People are just sleeping around here these days… things just haven’t been the same without you
I have more or less switched from pure science to engineering (at least for a living – still have one foot kept in the science/uni world). Still mainly based in CR but got an offer to go back to Sweden for work and right now it looks like it’s gonna happen.
Where you been?
Well hello there Robert

I had a hunch you’d be back when I least expected it, and you proved me right

Well I’m in favour of a publicly funded health care that is basically equal for everyone and of such high quality that having a private insurance on the side should not really be needed (but if people who are well off still want to get a private insurance to get some better comfort in the event of falling ill – so be it).
Anyway, if you do have a premium system and make a smoker pay a higher premium, how much higher should it be? Obviously the bigger the smoker you are, the higher the risk of running into smoke related health problems. So should the premium be increasingly higher the more you smoke? 10% higher if you smoke 10 cigs a day, 30% if you smoke 20 etc? How is this going to be checked / controlled? Or will the insurance company take my word for it when I say I only smoke 5 a day? (I actually don’t smoke at all, for the record). Isn’t it just much more straightforward to let smokers pay per cig already when buying them?
I’m against it, for the reasons highlighted by rambleon.
A better, fairer, less bureaucratic and more humane solution is to simply tax cigarettes higher, and then feed that money into the healthcare system.

Good to hear J in a good mood
Annastefka,
Sure, I’ll provide some photos.
Facebook I never really got into. My wife’s messing around with it quite a lot though, so for the time being I sort of get my dose of that stuff through her.Robert is a mystery to me as well I’m afraid, hope he’s doing well though.
Happy Holidays to all Freaksters!

First Christmas with our three month old daughter here, so definitely the best one ever
Quote:Anyway, no sooner than the high fives and celebrations we’re under way, yours truly got ko’d by the local virus/flu. Two days of nastiness and another day of general roughness. It caused me to miss the two days or tracking I was supposed to do with Dinosaur Jr. in Amherst, Mass. Thankfully, those guys used the extra days to continue rehearsing and write more songs.
Quote:And then it was up to Amherst to start getting sounds with Dinosaur Jr. And by the way, the three song I heard sounded great. This record might be their best yet.
This bit also sounds promising:
Quote:A quick trip to Mass.
Hey guys, Monday morning I got in the car and drove up to Bisquiteen, the studio home of one J Mascis. I spent the week mixing a new project which includes members of Witch and Cobra Verde. Kinda like the Foo Fighters meets Quiet Riot. Very much kinda. The songs are really cool and I can’t wait for it to come out. No label yet and no band name either!!!!!! Hopefully al that will be resolved shortly. -
