Hey Den Buck, loosely translated in a hurry
Jan Gradvall writes:

"When Nina Persson, accompanied by Nathan Larson, did a cover of "The Bluest Eyes In Texas," a song by the unhip country outfit Restless Heart, she fell in love with country music. Just like there’s a Paris, Texas, this recording, aswell as the whole album, sounds as if there’s a Jønkøping, Texas. Nina Person has never sounded better. Earlier her voice sounded like a cocktail(lovefool), it now resembles bourbon. Nina Person from Jønkøping, Texas has debuted as a solo artist with this years best swedish album."

You should definetely get your hand on some Minutemen!! Other SST artists that I’ve heard and liked: Black Flag, Firehose. Their homepage didn’t say anything about The Replacements being on their label though…
On the bright side, they seem to have a lot of Dino on vinyl -not to mention that it’s dead cheap http://www.sstsuperstore.com

DirectX is a nice P2P program, that has about everything one could desiree -music, films and so on. Among other things I found a clip of Dino on MTV’s least wanted, from the days when Ray Cokes was allowed on the screen.

Luckily there hasn’t been any hyping of the strokes here in norway. Cuz if that had been the case, I most likely would have steered clear of them. That would have been a great loss! I really dig the album -it has a distinctive vibe and personality and the whole album is great

Hey Nige -if you liked Mellow Gold you should check out some of his(Beck) more indie releases. Such as A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight, One Foot In The Grave…the list goes on and on. I’m not sure whether you could call Beck mainstream or not -since he’s forever changing directions…

We must all focus our positive karma -praying that there will be an ltd. copy with a killer live version of what else is new. That would save my day, not to say week or year

Great to see there are some fellow mountainbikers here Hope you’ll get some asskicking rides down the mountains! Some of those hills should be able to provide some adrenaline pumping descents.
Enjoy!!
