I’d go for KKK Took My Baby Away -that song never fails!! As for Grandaddy, I’d change The Crystal Lake into Underneath The Weeping Willow or Jed The Humanoid -probably the first -simply ‘cuz it’s so beautifull it makes pro-wrestlers cry.

My mind is in snooze mode right now, but these are the first that I’m able to lurk out of it.

Pavement:
-"One of us is a cigarstand, one of us is a lovely blue incandescent guillotine."
-"I’ve got a lot of good things coming my way, and I’m afraid to say that you’re not one of them."
-"You’ve been chosen as an extra in the movie adaptation of the sequel to your life."
-"Ba ba ba da da, debris slide!"
-Plus one million other killer pave lines.
Shit, I’ve been staring at the screen for like 20 minutes without typing anything… time for bed. Be back later with more

Hey Allison, I’m sorry to say that I’ve hadn’t goten hold of that mighty fine vinyl release you mentioned -but it sure rocks! As for a collection of b-sides and singles I’ve listed my Hellacopters collection below, where a title is repeated it indicates that there’s both an EP and single. I’m allways on the lookout for more, especially vinyl!
Glad you posted the link, lots of fun stuff to watch and read there. And I’m looking forward to see you on a concert soon!!

Dimpf, -as Allison says, you gotta take the posing for what it is -homage to their heroes. It’s just a part of the package really. But I certainly see your point. As for concerts -been to 5 and have always left with a hellish big grin on my face!

Pushin Scandinavian Rock To The Man Vol 1 and 2 are currently burning up my cd player. As for vinyl, some "vintage" Hellacopters, The Flaming Sideburns and Gluecifer are working their magic. And on july 25. I’m going to a Hellacopters and Sahara Hotnights show -so the future is looking bright

What can I say..except that I fully understand your grievances for this. And 4 bucks??? It’s almost like you’re paid to see a great performer when it’s that cheap!!! This is disturbing news indeed. Alas, it seems the bad karma doesn’t stop… Some stupid mthr fckr stole my J Mascis ticket!!!!! I was loading stuff into the car when I was going home for the summer. Being my most valued possession, I put the ticket on the passenger seat and went in to get some more stuff. This was just fine. Until the last time I went back into the appartment… When I got back my -the ticket was gone!!! The stupid fuck hadn’t bothered with my stereo or anything..just the ticket. Well screw the stero -it’s insured. It’s the ticket I need to go on living!! So I went into battle mode, ready to
the bastard who did this. But sadly he was outta sight. So now I’m stuck, the show is sold out and nobody is willing to sell me a ticket for an insanely large amount of money… So I’m not excactly sure of what I’ll be doing this saturday when J and the guys are playing here. But is definetely an option….
I hope any foul language found in this text is forgiven, my brain has stopped working and I’m angry as hell.

Guess I exceeded the limit a bit…but I had to get them all up here.

Just gotta say that Doug Martsch of Built To Spill is one of my favorite players!! Allthough I said that ranking players is futile, I just had to put his name up here, together with Ron Asheton and Chris Ballew(three string bassitar!!) Well put deepsludge! And there are also so many different musical genres to choose from. It would be futile to try to pick one guitarist and label him THE PLAYER. For example, if you’re into classical music, I don’t think J would be a natural #1(could be wrong though.)
I remember MOJO Magazine made a ranking of guitarists -top 100 or something, in 97 i belive. J came in at #27th if my memory serves me right. Some classical guitar player came first, don’t remember his name though.

It seems I’m 80% man, hope my male percentages are friendly towards my female percentages. The last thing I need is a percentage war raging within!
